Thank you, Dr. Douglas. This is heart wrenching. Watching the dying of the lovely Neda Agha Soltan, 27 years young. I hope that this will resonate through the youth of Iran that revolution could be at hand. This image of this young girl murdered by the Basiji is enough to make any man take up the cause.
This once great Persian country under the iron grip of theocracy – its writers, its artists, its poets, its intellectuals, either muzzled, or in exile – its women chattel, isn’t unemployment 20 percent – I remember it is high? The country’s wealth going to nuclear armament in pursuit of another holocaust!
After viewing the tragedy, I watched this group of young beautiful and handsome Iranians. A private video of youthful Iranians without the Mullahs watchful and critical eye, behaving as young American might. I wish for them all, this freedom. Surely this is finally a foreign cause for non-partisan American assistance.
