Taliban Sends Deadly Message

Something I've noted the past few days.

From the Los Angeles Times, "
Attacks Highlight Pakistan's Vulnerability to Militants":

Dressed in camouflage and armed with automatic rifles, grenades, mines and suicide vests, the 10 militants who shot their way into Pakistan's army headquarters were driven by a chilling goal: seize senior military officers as hostages and demand the release of more than 100 prisoners held by the government.

But nearly a day after the attack began, Pakistani commandos killed one militant before he could blow himself up in a room packed with 22 hostages, army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Monday. Within 45 minutes, the attack's Punjabi leader had been captured. The other militants were dead.

Although the militants failed to achieve their objective, the daring siege Saturday on one of the most heavily guarded military compounds in nuclear-armed Pakistan revealed the government's vulnerability to militant cells as it prepares to launch an offensive to crush the Taliban in South Waziristan.

I have a bright idea: Lets look at the source of this anger they have for us!
You think they just woke up one day and decided to start hating the United States?
No, they hate us because we think we can get our dirty fingers anywhere on this globe and fuck with anyone. Yet, when they retaliate the people of this country are shocked and ask "why, why, why". It seems as if the american public is far too ignorant to put cause and effect together and the politician/corporations exploit this lack of critical thinking and suppress these "terrorist" by bombing the shit out of their countries. Yet, that will always back fire and create more resentment towards this god forsaken country and is a recruitment tool. So then once another 20 or so years pass we will be attacked again and ask ourselves the same dumb shit. "why why why"
Get the picture, people dislike us because we intervene. So let's stop intervening for the sake of our safety. Our country needs to let go of this ego that we can have any land and resource we want.

  4. MaryShouldveHadAnAbortion,

    You are one sick puppy.

As for why "they" don't like us, I care not.

You should be thankful that you aren't posting here in German or Japanese.

After all, it was only our "intervention" that made that possible.

Isolationism is a great academic exercise, as is Marxism/communism/socialism, but in the real world, it is about as workable as frozen dog squeeze.
