I might believe that far to many people forgot that excellence was put in abeyance to the desire to see the underdog win. This would not be something new if one is paying the least bit of attention to the quality of people we elect, the actors/actresses we laud, the Art we find acceptable, the music we listen to and award, et al. Just consider this a window into the "dumbing down, of everything we do it this society.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find more interesting is the Left's conspiracy theories. If one was just a bit skeptical one might think that the detail and familiarity of these theories might lead one to believe that they just might be something the Left has utilized before. It would be some what like finding voting machines in cars far after the election was over.
Most of us who have had anything to do with the Arts have long ago given up believing that excellence is a prime determination. It is what it is. There are far better issue that require our passion. Only a Left that sees its power waning could get themselves in an uproar over this kind of thing.
That said I would prefer that Jennifer Grey wins.
