Janeane Garofalo's San Francisco Values

From Burt Prelutsky, "Janeane: An ‘I Hate Myself’ Production":

“Our country is founded on a sham. Our forefathers were slave-owning rich white guys who wanted it their way. So when I see the American flag, I go, ‘Oh, my god, you’re insulting me.’ That you can have a gay pride parade on Christopher Street in New York, with naked men and women on a float, cheering, ‘We’re here and we’re queer!’ — that’s what makes my heart swell. Not the flag, but a gay naked man or woman burning the flag. I get choked up with pride.”
But, of course, Garofalo's not "representative of the whole group" of extreme left-wing America-bashers.

Yeah. Right.

But you'll just keep on generalizing about all who disagree with you, or who you disagree with, as though they're all one "nihilist" "denialist" Stalinist" "radical" "extreme" person, a figment of your sad, partisan, better-than-thou imagination...

It's the only way you know how to play your little game.

But allow me to once again challenge you to put up or shut up with the labels... Link to any of these "extreme," "America-bashing," "nihilist" things I've said, and prove to the folks living outside of your own head that I am that which you claim I am... S'pin over two years now, and you've never even tried...

    Touchy today, eh?

Maybe you better go back to "American Nihilist" and write a post, RepMasterBarebackerDenialist!

  3. Donald: I'm just amazed that you think somehow I or anyone else agrees with her point of view. That's her opinion. Not mine. I am not aligned with that merely because I might have voted for the same president.

When you were a liberal, would this have been your point of view too? When you were a liberal, that is.

This is a tired game, Donald. I don't agree with her any more than you agree with mAnn Coulter or whoever.

Remember, there are degrees. Garofalo is an idiot.

I suppose, if everyone DID agree with you, you would just find something else to tar us with. Sorry to be out of lockstep. My boots just don't fit.

  4. Anyone who disagrees with the meaning of the flag or American exceptionalism is free to leave, no one is keeping them here.

America is great because of the freedoms we enjoy. A limited gov't will keep insuring that. A gov't that encroaching into the private sector (like GM) has started down that slippery slope of fascism.

  5. Still no offer of proof that I fit your invented labels, I see... No surprise there...

Maybe you better go back to "American Nihilist" and write a post---
Donald, there is no way I could do more to expose your wingnuttery today than you're already doing yourself, in your own words, by your own hand...

Maybe later, but for now, I'll just let you continue to write your dirty feet into your own mouth (or maybe your buddy Dick wants another taste?)

  6. Dr. Douglas,

Ever notice when dealing with lefties that the closer you get to the bulls eye when verbally shooting at them, the louder they holler*?

As for Jeneane Girafolo, I hope her character on 24 turns out to be a rogue, as I would love nothing more than to see Jack Bauer blow her traitorous ass into hamburger with about 25 rounds of juiced up .45 ACP 230g JHPs in the last scene of the last show of the season.

LOL-What a great way to end the season!

  7. I take a different approach about this reprobate. I wondered, why in the name of God Janeane Garofalo would take a role of 24. If you watch, note "Starkwood"=Blackwater. Yes, Blackwater is the real threat to the United States. Fits right in with Homeland Security chief Napolitano and her narrative. I would like to know if someone burned a "rainbow" flag in Janeane's prescence how she would feel? I can never get this moronic thinking.
