The Taxinator Goes to Washington!

Here's the picture of the day folks!

President Barack Obama shakes hands with Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm as California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, right, and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, left, look on, Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, during an event announcing new fuel and emission standards for cars and trucks.

On the same day that California voters repudiated $16 billion in new tax hikes, Governor Taxinator went to Washington to celebrate the passage of ... wait for it ... a new $1,300 car tax on everyday Americans!

  1. I'm not up on Devall and Mass.

But Granholm has ran Michigan into the ground. It's a saving grace that she's at the end of her term limits. Any problem she had was Engler's fault (the previous Gov. how, shockingly enough, happened to be a republican) and if you give her 8 or 10 or 15 more months, things will change (she was partly right, we moved to VA and changed for a better job situation). Even well into her second term, it was still Engler's fault.

And Arnie's failings have been obvious as of late.

  2. Granholm has virtually destroyed Michigan. The fact that Obama even wants to be in a picture with her is proof that he doesn't even care.

  3. I'm surprised the universe didn't cancel itself out when they all shook hands.

  4. If Ahhnold was smart, he would have taken that plane back to Austria and stayed there.

And as I have said previously, the people at Ford should be shaking in their shoes-as they are most decidedly next on Obama's automotive hit list.
