Adam Schiff Town Hall: ObamaThugs to Conservative Protesters - 'We Won in 2008' (So STFU)

Okay, the video clip below, from KABC-TV Los Angeles, is a good one. This is Debra Evans, in the photo here and at the video. I listened to her for a couple of minutes, and of course we only get a soundbite at the clip. Ms. Evans was feeding ABC7 reporter Leslie Miller with ObamaBull on health care. Notice Ms. Evans' paraphernalia. That's an Organizing for America badge at left, and a SEIU button on the right. The ObamaThugs were out in large numbers, and they were getting agressive.

Look at Ms. Evans' poster: "We Won in 2008! It Was About Change! Remember?"

In other words, "shut up and get out of the way," to paraphrase Dear Leader. I'll post the picture tomorrow, but I got a shot of one big thug making the "L" sign, for "loser," while commanding some of the conservatives to lie down and take it until 2012. (By the way, my son's peers in junior high school also do the "L" sign, although the local kids in our neighborhood are smarter than the SEIU bullies.)

In any case, check out the video:

  1. Whenever the "We won, so shut up" meme is used by our opponents, remind them that -- despite having the "historical" opportunity to elect a person of color, despite having the MSM in their pocket, despite running against an unpopular party and a lackluster opponent, despite the hijinks of ACORN et. al ...

... they only won 53% of the popular vote ...

... and many of those were MODERATES who didn't expect the radical, imperial rule of a Leftist ideologue that is celebrated by the "We Won" crowd -- and would change their votes, AND THE ELECTION RESULT, if given the opportunity to do so today.

Also remind them that this is not Iraq, where unprincipled "dissent" could lead to the expenditure of more treasure, and lives.

Today, it is remaining silent that would lead to such expenditures, along with the theft of our liberty ... therefore, I am ...

    SILENT NO MORE!

  2. "We won" is an example of thuggish behavior? You do realize how silly you look when you whine about that, right?

  3. Anon ... When those who utter it have neither a popular mandate nor sound principle backing their plans and policies, "we won, so STFU" sounds an awful lot like "Let them eat cake" did to 18th Century Frenchmen.

  4. Last night the people were called on to respond, and did they ever! Clearly, the tea baggers and the birthers thought the momentum was with them. Were they ever surprised! Once the meeting was moved outside, a brilliant move, the minority determined not to have the meeting but to stop the meeting--these, thank God, were a minority of the Republicans--were revealed in the their true, small numbers. The two sides, when Rep. Schiff called for the pros and the cons to signal separately their support or opposition, were about equal in number. They weren't equal in rudeness, of course, but the point was: The meeting went forward, and in spite of all efforts to turn it into a mini-riot, it ended up as a real Town Hall. Hurray for Democracy.

  5. Funny. When Bush won I don't recall anyone saying we won, so shut up. That seems to be a malady of the left. Also, Bush always showed more class than Obama and the Dems do when criticized. He praised our freedoms while the left was calling him Bushitler and Sheehan was stalking him all over the place. The right never called in thugs to disrupt anti-war protests. Seems many in the left have memory selectivitus.

  6. And Obama got caught bussing people in. Even Helen Thomas thought is was a sham.
It is getting to the point that we cannot trust our elected representatives. At least most of those old people actually read the various healthcare bills. It is why they are up in arms. "The IRS will this.... The IRS will that.............. The Secretary of ,,,,,, will be above the lower courts.....
The fact is that almost everything that senior citizens fear is in there in one form or the other. READ the damn thing. Do something your representatives have not.

  7. I was there last night. Sorry we did not meet. But, I think that that vast majority were against Mr. Schiff and so-called health care "reform". Remember when he asked the three questions. Who was for, who was against and who did not know what they were for? The second got the largest and most negative reaction. And did you notice any "Astroturfing" on our part? All those who had signs against the so-called health care "reform" were hand made. Many American flags and "Don't Tread On Me"-which is what my friend and I had. The 27th district is heavily gerrymandered, very Democrat. So, having so many people AGAINST the plan there is absolutely amazing. Momentumn is on our side and the Dems and their allies are scared. But, give Mr. Schiff credit for having the "town hall" and moving it outside. BTW, did you laugh when Mr. Schiff said that the overwhelming numbers in his district were FOR so-called health care "reform"?!
