Keith Olbermann's Anti-Glenn Beck Jihad!

A lot of folks are picking up on this story. From Dan Riehl, "No Ratings Pantywaist Perv Targets Glenn Beck." And AOSHQ, "Olby to the Kos Kids: Send Me Every Rumor or Slander You Have on Glenn Beck":
"We'll show those McCarthyites what real McCarthyism is."
A big overview at Newsbusters, "Olbermann to Daily Kos Audience: 'Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck'":

Guess who's not pleased about Van Jones middle-of-the-night-on-a-holiday-weekend resignation? Perhaps you never would have seen this one coming, but no other MSNBC "Countdown" host and provocateur Keith Olbermann himself.

Bitter and seeing red? Perhaps. In a
post on the Daily Kos dated Sept. 6, Olbermann urged the half-crazed liberal Kos readers to go digging for dirt on Fox News host Glenn Beck, Beck's radio producer Stu Burguiere and Fox News president Roger Ailes. (h/t Morgen of Verum Serum) ...

Olbermann said he plans to put forth his formal plans to go after Beck on his Sept. 8 show.

"Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony ‘truce' push)," Olbermann wrote.

Here's a preview of things to come, "

But check out Ace:
The irony here is that Van Jones was drummed from his office because it is unacceptable in American politics to be a Truther. It is considered too embarrassing and too nutty and ruins one's political credibility.

And where does Olby go to seek his vengeance?

To the Daily Kos, which put up an announcement that no Truther statements or comments or petitions were permitted on the site, and would be deleted immediately, because Trutherism was too embarrassing and too nutty for the site's political credibility.

So, you know, Van Jones got pushed out of office by the same "McCarthyite tactics" that Kos employs to keep his site free of Trutherism.

What is creeping fascism when applied to a high government official is not, apparently, fascism, creeping or otherwise, when used against a common citizen of no public importance posting on a stupid blog.
Olbermann's piece is here, "Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck." More at Memeorandum.

  2. There is a police report which states that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990. Glenn Beck has not denied that he raped and murdered a young girl in 1990. The evidence shows that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990. Many people now believe that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.

That's a fale meme that was created by some Beck haters. You can read Mediaite's debunking of it here and my commentary on it here.

  4. I was hoping there would be some kind of move to boycot all those businesses that pulled advertising from Beck.

But haven't seen one as yet.

  5. Actually, I can't wait to get a hold of the address for this commie-supporting, America-hating goober-cheese's "snitch" email or site.

I am pretty sure that me and my NB friends will have its server's hard drive belching sparks and blue smoke in a matter of a few minutes.

    :-)

  6. Anon,

You know, every time you post a comment in here, I am reminded of why there is a democrat party in America.

There are just some among us who are too intellectually ill equipped to survive in a truly free society.

  7. Olbermann went off the deep end a long time ago. Terrible that he defends Van Jones.

  8. Keith, you are a sad, sad man. You aren't worthy to scrape the gum off the bottom of Glenn's shoes, and you know it. Keep up the self-deluded "my ratings are higher than your ratings" lunacy... Maybe someday you'll convince someone else that the facts are less pertinent than your own self-aggrandizement.
    Best wishes in crazy Keith-ville!

  9. Glenn Beck did not oust Van Jones. Van Jones ousted himself and on a Saturday night during Labor Day weekend. Give me a break! Van Jones should have never even been part of the President's advisors or anybody's advisor for that matter. There are others that should not be there either. Thank God for Glenn Beck !

  10. Finally, someone that see through Glenn Beck BS. He is nothing more than a racist in disguise, only after ratings. However, I do hope Keith well in his pursuit to defame this idiot. I've never seen such a bigger and outright blunt white supremecy group like the teabaggers, deathers, or whatever they call. A message to all his fans and supporters, it's no surprise that minority group has a strong hatred for this man, but be very careful: the minority will become majority in a matter of time.

  11. Olbermann is not alone in pointing out the deceit and hypocrisy of Glenn Beck. See The Glenn Beck Review:

  12. Actually, Beck makes some reasonable and accurate observations but has a little problem in drawing hysterical conclusions, mostly because he believes he's something of a Latter-day Prophet and we're a few months away from Armaggedon. I know where he's coming from because I've been there. We've all been there, and last time the world never came to an end either. It's an occupational hazard of being a Mormon. That's not necessarily bad, but Mormons also know how to organize and run meetings and network. That's what they do. They get their word out. That's all Glenn Beck is doing. I've started a series that will explain in great detail what's driving this character in his head and in his heart. It's not all bad, but most of it's pretty whacky. It will BLOW YOUR MIND!!! I'm working on something really really BIGGGG! The blogosphere is going to RESET!!! after you read this. Seriously though, have a read, you won't get a better expose of the Glenn Beck phenomenon, because it's coming from an "insider." http://lrwhitney.wordpress.com/
