'Black Hawk Down' is RAAACIST!!

You know, while this is serious business, rebutting the left's endless allegations of racism, I've been mostly mocking so far in my series on "racist movies." But it's beyond bothersome that "Black Hawk Down" is included and ranked at #27. And here's the caption:
Ridley Scott's account of the 1993 "Battle of Mogadishu" drew heavy fire for casting African-Americans, who neither look nor sound like Somalis, to portray them as an ignorant, extra dark and scary, bloodthirsty mob of villains with no legitimate cause to attack U.S. Army Rangers. Well, they've got their cause now.
I guess indigenous affirmative action quotas are de rigueur among leftists nowdays. But as anyone who's read anything on the Clinton administration's policy in Somalia knows, the firefight there actually did have "bloodthirsty villains" attacking U.S. forces. And of course Americans were in the country to provide massive humanitarian relief to non-combatant Somalis, who were facing catastrophic circumstances amid the country's civil war. According to the Wikipedia entry, U.S. forces delivered "48,000 tons of food and medical supplies in six months to international humanitarian organizations trying to help the over three million starving people in the country." So to be clear here, when you see all these leftist "racist" attacks on everything from the tea partiers to movies like "The Hurt Locker" and "Falling Down," these constitute, in their totality, powerful evidence for the vicious hatred of America -- in all of its manifestations -- that is the core of Democratic/leftist ideology (here, for example):

  1. Have you noticed that every pro-military movie seems to be on that list. What's next? Silverado because Danny Glover was not the lead actor? I mean seriously...

  2. Thank you for being more direct in your critiques of alarmist, leftist blogs that perceive racism everywhere. In reading their queries amongst themselves, they appear to have been misinterpreting (maybe intentionally) your mockery of their endless, hidden race-based findings during this Black History Month. I would think that even the most hateful of ultra-left can now see that, of course, you are not racist.

The Left appear to have racism on the mind. Chris Matthews offered that he had “forgotten Obama was black for an hour,” while watching the State of the Union- so much for a colorblind society. Manufacturing racism at every turn betrays a color-bias that perpetuates the separation of the races.

Falsely accusing someone of racism is racially offensive in itself.

  3. The left creates controversies where none exist. Because they cannot argue the merits of issues, et al, they need to create enemies for the hapless followers of the failed ideology to follow.

The time has come to classify these false accusations of racism as hate crimes, and prosecute these propagandists as the criminals they are. Spreading this hatred causes more problems than we already have.

Years ago during lunch time, I would go to Federal Plaza to listen to the Nation of Islam vomit their pathetic racism. Where were the voices against this brand of bigotry?

BTW Does Chris Matthews still think that inflation is good for poor people?

  4. Professor, I am, I must say, surprised at you. I would have never have thought you would have written it this way. You know better. I am shocked that you would get it so wrong. There are five a's in raaaaacism!
