Nicky Diaz Santillan, former housekeeper to California gubernatorial candidate and ex-eBay CEO Meg Whitman, is accusing the candidate of firing her for being an illegal immigrant after looking the other way for nine years, TMZ reports.Check the TMZ links above. Whitman's denying it. But Michelle's on top of it: "Meg Whitman’s illegal alien maid problem."
According to Sanillan's [sic] attorney, Gloria Allred, Whitman clearly knew about Santillan's status as an illegal from the beginning, but only took action when she became a political candidate.
Allred says that during her time with Whitman, Santillan was "exploited, disrespected, humiliated, and emotionally and financially abused," and that working for her was a "nightmare."
Whitman has dismissed the allegations, and says the timing, so close to the election, is proof that this is nothing but a cheap political smear.
I've never liked Whitman. And nothing I've seen so far has made me rethink my opinion. This episode is just totally unsurprising. Whitman's phony through and through. We saw it in the primary campaign (she was for amnesty before she was against it) and this is just more same old same old.
Check Memeorandum as well.
Fine, have Jerry Brown then. He'll be great for California. At least if Meg's elected, you'll have "Told you so" privileges, but at least we may not slide entirely into the ocean.

ReplyDeleteP.S. I dislike both candidates. Neither of them will improve the state's position.
I for one am wondering who is paying media whore Allred for Santillan's services. Oh yeah, I forgot that Allred is the female counterpart of Sen. Shumer, who will walk over his mother to get a better camera angle. I'll wager hag-crone Allred is doing it pro bono for herself, and will present the Demonrats with a bill later on down the line.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Santillan is being paid mucho dinero for her public outing as an illegal, plus a promise of immunity from the illegal state-of-confusion called California.
I do want to see Fiorina beat Boxer, but have no dog [or bitch] in the Brown/Whitman battle. Indeed, I worked for a short time with Brown in the '68 Cal Primary for Gene McCarthy when I was Gene's National Staff dude for the 33rd CD.
So far the only proven facts are, Nicky Diaz Santillan is in this country illegally, she used forged documents to obtain employment and is probably also guilty of identity theft. The evidence supports Nicky Diaz Santillan being a known liar and criminal. And, Gloria Allred did her client a major disservice by having her admit this in a televised interview. By the way, has Ms. Santillan been arrested yet for fraud?
ReplyDeleteIF??? Meg Whitman is guilty of anything; it was a brief bout of bad judgment.
On another note…while I was at the Californian Federation of Teacher’s convention last March, a fairly large number of delegates called Jerry Brown a “lying son-of-a-bitch that we can’t trust!” That was just before the membership voted to support him. I’m still trying to figure that one out.
