Postcards From the Obama Economy

How long can leftists continue to blame Republicans for the epic disaster of Obama's jobless recovery (summer)? Pretty long, it turns out. Of course, you'd have to take a stroll outside of the "reality-based" neighborhood to actually get a grip. Even the Obama-enabling MFM is getting the picture. See, "It Isn't Just Lost Jobs—It's the Lost Jobs Machine," and "On Economy, Democrats Face a Lack of Unity." Still, some of the news is totally WTF. The Democrats are pushing "fiscal austerity" as a campaign issue? Well, not exactly. The White House doesn't seem to be getting the message: "Obama to Link Tax Plan, Hiring."

President Obama is needed for the rest of his life as President of the United States. We currently have a petition going round the country which would suspend the Constitution that would allow him to be President for life. When the petition comes your way, please sign it. The US needs Barrack Obama more than ever. Let him guide the United states for decades to come. This way he can focus on his fundamental change of America.

I strongly suspect that neither political party really knows what to do regarding the economy, nor do the experts, although they have opinions and theories. (If you want to really check out their level of confidence, ask them to guarantee the stated results of their anticipated policies, and then require them to put up their family assets resulting in forfeiture if they are wrong.) The problem is simply too large, complex, and interconnected with economies of other nations, over which the US has no control.
To fix most things in the universe, you have to get them to “sit still” at least for a short period of time, and suspend those outside factors bearing on the problem. This is a dynamic situation. If we as a society actually knew what worked, and could establish a cause and effect relationship with any certainty, we would have done it by now. Don’t you think?
