Commentary and analysis on American politics, culture, and national identity, U.S. foreign policy and international relations, and the state of education
- from a neoconservative perspective! - Keeping an eye on the communist-left so you don't have to!
Wow. The fact that you want this woman to be president is starting to make a lot more sense in view of your recent rantings, Don. Allow me to summarize:
BOR: "What should the cut-off age for keeping one's original Social Security benefits be? 30? 21?"
SP: "55. Oh, and the government sucks."
Is Palin really saying that someone who's already paid into the SS system for the last 35 years should have their benefits reduced? I think she just didn't understand the question.
BOR: "Isn't cutting Medicaid going to hurt poor people?"
SP: "Michael Moore sucks."
BOR: "I agree, but isn't cutting Medicaid going to hurt poor people?"
SP: "I'm going to not answer your question by saying that we shouldn't hurt poor people. Oh, and they're poor because the government sucks."
My favorite part was when she said that she couldn't answer his questions if he interrupted her because of the satellite delay, and then absent interruption she proceeded to make a boilerplate speech instead of answering his questions.
I know I used to implore your side to run her Don but I've changed my mind since I think she might have an outside long shot if the economy tanks hardcore. Run Bachmann instead. She's more crazy than ignorant. Cheers.
