Would You Pull Over For a Snake On the Windshield?

Actually, yes. That was my first thought upon seeing this at The Blaze, "‘OOOOH MY GOD’: SNAKE ON WINDSHIELD TRIGGERS HIGHWAY FREAK OUT."

But see KABC-TV Los Angeles, "Tennessee family catches snake on windshield."

My wife said she wouldn't stop: "Who cares about the environmentalists?!!"

  1. Snakes serve a purpose and where possible should be let free. Only when they present a clear and present danger to children or other people should they be taken out of the picture.
I have a black snake that runs in our yard and wound up in the swimming pool area. My wife informed me that he was in the enclosure and I went out, opened the door, got a squeegee and slowly guide him to the open door where he made his way back into the yard. Ever since he took up residence my vole problem went away.
They kill off rodents, et al that carry disease. They serve a purpose.
When we were in the Philippines we had Geckoes in the house because they got rid of many insects, et al. Most of these creatures serve a purpose which most people should take the time to understand. And NO I am not an environmentalist in its current meaning. For the most part they are green on the outside and red in the middle. Most environmentalists don't give a whit for the environment or its creatures. They are just useful tools to an end for those who call themselves environmentalists.
I am, at most, a Conservationist. Man is an integral part of the environment and NOT something outside of its daily life. We serve a purpose in maintaining the balance of nature.
