USA Today revised the piece, correcting a statement about quoting the Constitution to quoting the Federalist Papers, but the first paragraph still has a problem with subject/verb agreement:
A coalition of outside groups seeking to pressure Republican members of the Electoral College to vote against Donald Trump are sinking half a million dollars into a final ad buy in all 50 states.The "coalition" is the subject." The verb should be "is."
I tweeted again. We'll see if they correct the error.
