David Carradine Dies: "Kung Fu" Star Found New Audience in "Kill Bill" Role
Actor David Carradine has died. The BBC has the full report, "Kung Fu Star Carradine Found Dead." "Kung Fu" aired from 1972–1975. My parents often let me and my sisters stay up to watch the show. It was always a special occasion. I loved that program. It was so idealistic, and so different from traditional Western folklore. I especially liked David Carradine himself. He seemed to really embody the spirit of peace that was found in Kwai Chang Caine."
Well God rest his soul; he was easily the coolest guy walking, in 1972! I couldn't wait for Kung Fu to come on, and even had a crush on Caine!!!!

I was a huge fan of Kung Fu and David Carradine as a kid. It was a truly unique show.

He will be missed. I loved Kung Fu and Kill Bill 1 & 2. I also liked his Western Tech show that was on the History Channel. I think it was called Wild West Tech. He and his brother both hosted it.
ReplyDeleteI told my wife when I heard of this, "This is not a suicide, as it is being reported." Thailand is a rough place. Someone mugged the rich American. May he rest in peace. We are terminally naive here in this country, and when we travel abroad we feel nothing will happen to us.
