These veterans' commemorative events make my heart happy. The WWII generation is quickly passing from the scene. Few from the generation who fought the war are here today to make these anniversary events. I'm glad we still have a chance to thank them. It reaffirms our values in a most fundamental way, and hopefully passes on knowledge of past sacrifice to future generations.
