Robert Pattinson for 'Dior Homme'

This is cool.

Ran during last night's, "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful."

Background: "Robert Pattinson broods brilliantly in Dior Homme ad."

Coca Cola's 'America the Beautiful' Super Bowl Commercial

Honestly, it's just a commercial, not the last hill to die on.

That said, the idiot leftists sure went after this like Philip Seymour Hoffman after a cooked spoon. Losers.

At Reason, "Whose Fake Outrage Are We Faking Being Outraged About Today?" (At Memeorandum.)

More at LAT, "Coca-Cola Super Bowl ad stirs controversy."

Watch it: "Coca-Cola - It's Beautiful - Official :60."

Anna Kendrick Game Day Newcastle Commercial: 'Approachable Hot'

She's hot.

At London's Daily Mail, "'I'm hot, but like, approachable hot': Anna Kendrick questions her attractiveness in hilarious 'non-Super Bowl' commercial":
'I'll just give you an endorsement now. "Hi, Newcastle Brown Ale, the only beer that ever promised me a paying role in a Super Bowl commercial and then backed out at the last f****ing second like a bunch of d**ks. Suck it,' she says as she motions to get up, before saying again, 'Suck it.'

Marlboro Man Eric Lawson Dead: Smoking-Related Illness Cited

A phenomenally successful ad campaign by the cigarette maker.

But cigarettes kill, no need to be PC about it. My mom had major lung surgery last year after some 50-odd years of smoking. She's lucky to be alive. My wife's mom died of lung cancer sometime back, and her dad gave up cigarettes a few years ago after saying he'd never quit. At some point mortality stares you in the face and you realize smoking's not worth it --- although I'm not an anti-smoking activist. Folks should be able to enjoy a smoke if they want it. The problem is that they're so addictive. I smoked for a couple of years when I was going to Hollywood all the time. A cigarette and a cup of coffee is a major stimulation feed! Amazing even, the kick you get out of the nicotine (once you get use to it). Not glamorous anymore, although I still admire the rugged look sometimes. It's part of the culture.

In any case, at London's Daily Mail, "Former Marlboro Man, 72, becomes FIFTH actor from iconic cigarette ads to die of lung disease."

Lawson died of respiratory failure from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Cries of Racism Following Interracial Cheerios Advertisement

Interracial families are just no big deal. I have one. And incidents of racism are pretty much non-existent in my experience.

But we're talking about the Cheerios ad on YouTube, and, well, you know how that'll work out online. You've got all of the Nazi keyboard commandoes on the attack. And that's not new.

In any case, at AdWeek, "It's 2013, and People Are Still Getting Worked Up About Interracial Couples in Ads Cheerios spot gets cheers and jeers."

Also at London's Daily Mail, "'We are part of the face of America': bi-racial parents of girl in Cheerios ad that sparked torrid racist abuse stand up to tide of hate."

Best Super Bowl Ads 2013

I was pretty diligent about staying in front of the TV for the big-money advertisements.

Chrysler's "Farmer" ad really captured the hearts of a lot of folks on Twitter, and WSJ has more, "Chrysler Ram Truck Super Bowl Ad Aims at Consumers’ Inner ‘Farmer’ (Video)."

I like this KIA spot:

And see Adweek, "Search No More: All the 2013 Super Bowl Spots in One Place."

More at NYT, "Super Bowl Ads Speak to a Generation. But Which One?"

Bar Refaeli Makes Out With Nerdy Dude in Go Daddy Super Bowl Ad!

OMG!

At AdWeek, "Bar Refaeli Swaps Spit With Jesse Heiman in Go Daddy Super Bowl Ad":

The couple did 45 takes of the kiss, Go Daddy claimed, adding that [Jesse] Heiman afterward said he felt like he won the "championship of men."

Likewise, this is Refaeli's first Super Bowl commercial. She probably had never kissed a homely character actor before, either.
More at that link.

Yeah, that Heiman dude's a lucky man. One really lucky dude.

One Million Moms Mad at Ellen DeGeneres

It's not the first time the group's gone after J.C. Penney for hiring the lesbian comedienne.

At the Los Angeles Times, "Ellen DeGeneres commercial for J. C. Penney angers Christian group."

The ad's for Hardee's at the clip, but on the West Coast we've got Carl's Jr.
