Well, if he is such a student of history, has he not understood that you know that’s the one thing you don’t do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan? Alright, because everyone who has tried over a thousand years of history has failed, and there are reasons for that. There are other ways to engage in Afghanistan…”

Michael Steele Caught on Tape: 'War of Obama's Choosing'

I've noticed that you regularly withhold your opinion on certain stories and news items Don, particularly when they can be negative for the Republican party. I'm curious: do you agree with Kristol, Cheney and others who are calling for Steele's resignation? I'm assuming that you disagree with his comments (except for when he blames Obama for Afghanistan, of course) but your lack of commentary is curious.
What's curious is how people like JBW try to hold conservative bloggers to a standard of evenhandedness in reporting while feeling no obligation to do so themselves.
Taking a look at his own, blog, we see a series of juvenile, disconnected, and frankly incoherent posts. Perhaps he demands such things, from you, Don, because he recognizes your superior abilities.
I'm not "people like JBW" Tom, I am JBW. Don's an opinionated guy who isn't shy about expressing those opinions, especially here. Yet in a post about Steele's comments wherein the latest developments are major names in the neoconservative movement calling for his resignation Don posts a video with no commentary. He's said that he's long thought that Steele is a disaster in another post but that's hardly the same thing as calling for his resignation and I wanted to know his opinion about that.
Your opinion about my own blog is highly subjective at best and completely inconsequential at worst. You think I've been less than evenhanded on some issue? Then make a comment there to that effect. But if the thirty or so seconds you took out of your day is all that is required to assess the merits of another's blog then allow me: The Redhunter reeks of pissed off old man smell (mid to late sixties, if my nose serves me right), is predictably filled with stuff he hates and is accented with hospital wall puke green highlights. Say, that was easy.
Steel's gotta go. Period. His unconvincing, uninformed commentary and subsequent follow up reveal a shocking lack of savvy about events historical and au courant.
That Steele was elected as Chairman of the RNC says a a lot about the RNC.
