But see DNAinfo, "Occupy Wall Street Apologizes for Getting 'Hoaxed' By Radiohead Claim." And at Village Voice, "How Occupy Wall Street Got Hoaxed: The Email From Radiohead's 'Manager'."And at Instapundit:
NOT READY FOR PRIMETIME: Occupy Wall Street protest, swelled by Radiohead hoax, marches on NYPD HQ, but gets lost. I would be harsher on these people, but given how thoroughly Obama has been in bed with Wall Street, and vice versa, it’s hard for me to get very excited. And this just in at DNAinfo, "Occupy Wall Street Protesters Arrested on Brooklyn Bridge." And New York Post, "Wall St. protesters shut down Brooklyn Bridge." Yeah, that's gonna build a lot of support for the movement:
One irate driver, a Ground Zero construction worker, blasted the pedestrians.
"I work my ass off all day, and these goddamned hippies close down the Brooklyn Bridge so I can't get home?" he said. "This ain't right!"

At some point one finds themselves hoping for another demonstration because they almost always have the opposite affect as intended. All of the union protest in Wisconsin ended with the union losing. The blocking of the Brooklyn Bridge will alienate so many of the people they wish to appeal to that it is a fail.
Just ask yourself how many people actually pay any real attention to these protests? They generally have the same people yelling the same things no matter what the protest is about. It is like finding out that many of the feminists protestors were paid protestors from Canada.
Having women take off their clothes, and what does that really say about them, becomes so perfunctory that it becomes a shoulder shrug. I like steak, but if I eat too much of it I just don't want to see it on my plate for a while, especially if that steak is not very appealing. Sometimes the expectation of something is far more interesting than the actual consumption turns out to be.
It all becomes just another bunch of "hippie maggots" and/or "union thugs" parading their lack of coping skills and dearth of intelligence. I thought Leftists/Progressives had figured out that this didn't work and decided for change in the long term, but appears that they never remember that this is the United States of America, not Egypt. et al.
