Joan Walsh is smart in the over-all, just not at all reliable. For example, in May of 2007 Walsh published a piece stating she would work heard to end misogyny at Salon (in response to on-line attacks on a particular woman. However, in the blind leading the really hateful types, didn't bounce her editor, Kerry Lauerman who is famous for his bad, uneven treatment of women. Ugh. In four years Joan hasn't Once smelled the coffee.
