Cowardly #ANSWER Communists Violently Harass 'American Power' at Anaheim Police Brutality Protest!

ANSWER Los Angeles held a rally and protest march against police brutality in Anaheim today, "Anaheim: July 19 March to End Police Terror."

The event was an anniversary follow-up to their city hall protest last July, "STAY IN THE STREETS! FROM THE RACIST POLICE TO THE RACIST 'JUSTICE' SYSTEM - STOP THE WAR ON BLACK & BROWN YOUTH!"

I covered last year's protest and blogged it, "Communists March Against Police Brutality in Anaheim!," and "Communists Protest Police Brutality in Anaheim — #JusticeForTrayvon."

So I was in Anaheim this morning to cover the anti-amnesty protests on Ball Road at the 57 Fwy, and I swung over to Stoddard Park, near Disneyland, to take a few photos and Vines at ANSWER's protest. I was unable to take as many as I would have liked. "Cassandra" and "Jordyan, who were out to the Murrieta Border Station protest a couple of weeks ago, sicced their La Raza racists and communist thugs on me, and I was dealing with that all day. (ICYMI, I blogged socialist slutbags "Cassandra" and "Jordyan" here: "#Murrieta Protesters @CassandraRules and @BeautifulChaosJ Spew Lies and Hatred, Not 'Civility'."




I asked "Jordyan" why she said she wasn't a leftist when I spoke to her in Murrieta? I continued, "You're here with the ANSWER communists? That's about as far left as you can get." She raised her hand to my face, ran off, and refused to correct her lies. That's always --- always! --- the way it is with leftists. They'll lie about their true ideological program, because they know they'll be repudiated by regular, patriotic Americans.

Prysner's a coward. He served in Iraq as a grounds surveillance technician, and word is he saw no combat, and since then has allegedly misrepresented his war record and trumped up the military heroism of other soldiers as his own.

He obviously doesn't like being called out on it, which is why he tried to shut down my participation at a public rally by seizing my iPhone and throwing it in the street. Pretty typical for an intolerant leftist scumbag. These idiots simply cannot stand to have their activism and ideology exposed to the real light of public opinion and opprobrium. This Ain't Hell just destroys lying loser Prysner here, "Michael Prysner: true communist hero."



I ran out into the street to retrieve my phone, which was still in good working condition, amazingly. At the Vine below is mental midget and dead-end ANSWER stooge Douglas Kauffman. Next to him is the mother of Manuel Diaz. I gather her son was killed by Anaheim PD and she was one of the event's sponsors. Actually, I was not "antagonizing" anyone. I would have loved to hear her memorial to her son, but the commie stooges were blocking and tripping me as I tried to move over to listen to the speakers. She came up to me twice during the day, asking me to leave. I told her it was a public park and I just wanted to take some pictures and I'd be gone. She didn't like that idea and called me a "disruptive force."



All of the anarcho-idiots who got in my face to video refused to show their faces. I couldn't take photos or Vines, as I was surrounded by thugs who covered my iPhone. Cowards. Stupid, intolerant, childish cowards:



Honestly, this dude needed to go toke a few more fat ones. Couldn't get him out of my face. He smoked cigarettes continuously, of course blowing the smoke in my face. I couldn't wait to get home to shower. These people are no better than the diseased aliens coming over the border. A dirty hippie if there ever was one, and obviously a cartoon caricature who's actually a stooge:

I repeatedly told this stooge he wasn't intimidating at all. He was a coward who wouldn't show his face. They're all teeny-tiny little losers who refuse to stand up for what the believe and be counted. They all hide behind "V for Vendetta" masks and black-bloc balaclavas. It'd be funny, although they were extremely annoying, since it was impossible to get around to take more photos. And notice the Aztlán open-borders Brownshirts as well. ANSWER's been in longtime coordination with them, the racist freaks.

I stepped away for about a half-hour or so to tweet the photos I'd taken, and when I was getting ready to go, the protest march began, so I decided to take a couple of Vines:





It's actually pretty hard to tweet in the broad daylight, and I was trying to keep up with the march as I was taking Vines. After the march turned from 9th Street onto Katella (a couple of blocks north of Disneyland), I ran up ahead for a better position. "Cassandra" and "Jordyan" thought their thugs had driven me away, lol! I love how "Jordyan" scurries like a rat up onto the sidewalk, and covers her face like the embarrassed liar she is:



You'll notice, though, that I sent this Vine after I retrieved my phone from over that big brick wall seen at the Vine. I was about to send it when one of the Aztlán goons --- who came running from behind as I was working the keypad --- grabbed the phone out of my hand. I ran forward as he kept running and grabbed him by the shirt. Just then he chucked the phone over the brick wall into one of the backyards abutting Katella Avenue. I should have known. My bad. This was the second time these fascists grabbed my device and threw it. Only this time I had to scale the damned wall, which wasn't easy. I scratched my arm on my first attempt. After I found my phone I walked back to my Odyssey and took a photo of the scratches. All in day's work, I guess:



I've been reporting on ANSWER Los Angeles for years now and these losers are obviously not pleased by the coverage. Normally, though, ANSWER protests are monitored by huge police contingents. These thugs would never be able to block my participation, at times violently, if police had been on hand. So, chalk it up as a lesson. Only cover these losers at events where police will be on the ground. Frankly, I was being assaulted and prevented from exercising my free speech rights at a public protest. It's not something I'd do if the shoe was on the other foot. I'd never physically assault and harass a leftist wanting to cover an anti-immigration rally, for example, because I'm not ashamed of what I'm doing and I'm not ashamed of the message that all-American patriots convey at our events. The same cannot be said for the ANSWER communists. They're paranoid and conspiratorial. Remember, these are people who call each other "comrade" at their organizing meetings, like genuine Marxist cadres (which is good for a laugh, seriously).

Mostly, though, these are simply not good people. They have no respect for the rights of others, which belies all the "civility" bullshit they spew, and all the "social justice" crap they're always yammering about. The L.A. ANSWER goons are career protesters with dead-end futures, shaking down the mindless left-wing rubes for the donations that keep this racket going. Unfortunately, the mainstream press routinely gives these freaks positive, credible media, which has the sad result of providing legitimacy for a far-left movement that is so communist they backed Moscow when it crushed the Prague Spring democracy movement in 1968. That's who we're talking about here. Not "progressive" activists but Che-wannabe murderers who would slit your mother's throat if she were to say one word in opposition. F-k these losers. The don't intimidate me. And they can expect lots more coverage like this going forward.

Ukraine Says Multiple Buk Missile Systems Moved to Russia — #MH17

At the Los Angeles Times:

Three Buk missile systems made their way from eastern Ukraine across the border into Russia on Friday, according to Ukrainian officials, including one lacking the missile they believe brought down a Malaysia Airlines jet the day before. “

Three missile launchers trespassed the Ukraine border on July 18,” Vitaly Nayda, Ukraine’s counterintelligence chief, told reporters in Kiev on Saturday afternoon.

The announcement came a day after a government advisor posted a video purportedly showing a single Buk system, with at least one missile missing, making the trip to Russia on a road in eastern Ukraine. The new disclosure suggests that the Russian government supplied multiple anti-aircraft systems to the separatists, which Nayda said were also used to bring down two Ukrainian military transport planes earlier in the week. The systems crossed the border at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday, Nayda said.

If the Ukrainian government claims are confirmed, it would serve as strong evidence that Russia provided help to separatists to shoot down planes in eastern Ukraine.

Nayda added that, according to his country’s intelligence, Russian military officers accompanied the units on their move across the border.

“We documented negotiations between terrorists and got information from those conversations that three Russian personnel came with it,” he said. “There were Russian citizens operating the Buk-M1 and they came from territory of the Russian Federation.”

The Downing of #MH17

At the Wall Street Journal, "Putin is the one leader who quickly assigned blame for the disaster" (via Google):
The downing of MH17 should at the very least clear the fog around the conflict in eastern Ukraine. If not for President Putin, none of this would be happening. The conflict was conceived, funded and armed by Russia. The commander of the separatist forces is a Russian military intelligence officer. The leader of the separatist government in Donetsk is a resident of Moscow.

As Ukraine's popular new president launched an operation to liberate the east last month, the rebels acquired fancier new weaponry. Their ability to shoot down Ukrainian aircraft was remarkable for a supposedly ragtag force of mercenaries, locals and thugs. The Kremlin put advanced weapon systems in the hands of a band of outlaws—and it is ultimately responsible for how they use them.

This catastrophe brings to mind the Korean Air Lines plane shot down in 1983 by a Soviet military fighter, killing 269. President Reagan called the downing of KAL007 "an act of barbarism, born of a society which wantonly disregards individual rights and the value of human life and seeks constantly to expand and dominate others." It was a moral turning point in the Cold War.

Perhaps the downing of MH17 will be a similar turning point in our post-post Cold War era. The Ukrainian crisis has been dismissed too often as a faraway battle in which the West has little stake, and in any case Ukraine is within Russia's "sphere of influence."

The deaths of 298 innocents from many countries should put that to rest. The Kremlin's attack on an independent neighboring state presents the gravest threat to European security since the end of the Cold War. Russia has supported non-state insurgents with the express purpose of sowing chaos. It's notable that Mr. Putin was the one leader who didn't show restraint on Thursday. He blamed Ukraine as "the government on whose territory this occurred." The world should ask why he would be so quick to jump to conclusions.

U.S. Blames Pro-Putin Rebels for Missile Attack on Malaysia Airlines Jet in Ukraine — #MH17

WASHINGTON—The U.S. and its allies accused Russian-aided separatists of firing the missile that downed Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, killing 298 people, including a dual Dutch-American citizen, and demanded that Moscow end months of unrest in eastern Ukraine.

President Barack Obama, faulting Russian President Vladimir Putin's support for separatists, called on Friday for "an immediate cease-fire" in eastern Ukraine to allow for a thorough investigation of the crash by international authorities.

"It is not possible for these separatists to function the way they're functioning... without sophisticated equipment and sophisticated training—and that is coming from Russia," Mr. Obama said at a White House news conference.

At the crash site in a separatist-controlled part of eastern Ukraine, pro-Russia rebels fired briefly into the air before allowing the first international observers very limited access to the vast field of destruction.

Ukrainian officials have released what they say was evidence that the jetliner was shot down by separatists, including video of an antiaircraft system purportedly being moved, and intercepted phone calls said to be between separatists and Russian advisers. U.S. officials said they are examining some of the evidence offered by Ukraine.

Mr. Obama said Moscow would face new economic sanctions unless it backed a cease-fire and international probe of the crash site. His remarks came amid new indications that Europe, jolted by the tragedy, may be readying an expansion of sanctions as early as next week.

"This is a platform that gives us a lot of leeway to act on a new level," German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, referring to a new framework for potential sanctions adopted by the European Union earlier this week.

Earlier Friday, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, presented evidence of Russian aid to pro-Russia separatists.

Together, the developments pointed to a renewed, U.S.-led campaign against Moscow that puts Mr. Putin on notice that he is facing world-wide grief and anger over the crash and now must swiftly move to stabilize eastern Ukraine.

"If Mr. Putin makes a decision that we are not going to allow heavy armaments and the flow of fighters into Ukraine across the Ukrainian-Russian border, then it will stop," Mr. Obama said...

This is just ridiculously sad.

The man, choking, says repeatedly, "I can't breathe!" My eyes get teary listening to his cries.

The 350-pound man, about to be arrested on charges of illegally selling cigarettes, was arguing with the police. When an officer tried to handcuff him, the man pulled free. The officer immediately threw his arm around the man’s neck and pulled him to the ground, holding him in what appears, in a video, to be a chokehold. The man can be heard saying “I can’t breathe” over and over again as other officers swarm about.

Now, the death of the man, Eric Garner, 43, soon after the confrontation on Thursday on Staten Island, is being investigated by the police and prosecutors. At the center of the inquiry is the officer’s use of a chokehold — a dangerous maneuver that was banned by the New York Police Department more than 20 years ago but that the department cannot seem to be rid of.

“As defined in the department’s patrol guide, this would appear to have been a chokehold,” the police commissioner, William J. Bratton, said at a news conference in City Hall on Friday afternoon.

“Right now it’s looking like we’ll have a little more than 300 protest rallies large and small across the country. Our goal is to unify Americans of all races, political parties and walks of life against the Obama-inspired illegal immigrant invasion,” Gheen said. “At last count we had 257 communities signed up, but that was two hours ago. We’re expecting more than 300 and updating the event list every two hours.”

VIDEO: Pro-Putin Separatists Reportedly Smuggle BUK Missile Launcher Back to Russia — #MH17

I saw the video this morning and wasn't going to blog it, but CNN's been running images from the clip all day, with stop-image graphics showing two of the launcher's missiles gone, presumably having been fired at the Malaysian 777.

And now here comes London's Daily Mail, "Tucked in the corner of a leafy square, is this the Russian missile launcher that blasted flight MH17 out of the sky?"

Also at Toronto's National Post, "After MH17 shot down, video shows Buk missile launcher allegedly being moved from Ukraine to Russia":

Ukraine released a video Friday it says shows the Buk missile launcher used to shoot down a Malaysian Airlines jet being carted toward the Russian border.

The footage was captured by a police surveillance squad at dawn Friday, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry claims. In it, one of four of the launcher’s missiles are missing, Ukraine says.

The Buk missile battery is a Soviet-era weapon equipped with a 70-kilogram warhead, designed for taking out cruise missiles, aircraft and drone planes. Usually mounted on a tracked vehicle, it is in use in both Russia and Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government in Kyiv, the separatist pro-Russia rebels they are fighting and the Russia government that Ukraine accuses of supporting the rebels all denied shooting the plane down. Moscow also denies backing the rebels.

Obscene: New U.C. San Francisco Chancellor to Rake $750,000 Salary — Plus Car and Housing Allowances!

Reports indicate that one-third of the new chancellor's salary won't be paid with "state funds."

And that makes a difference? Frankly, I'm shocked at what these top-level bureaucrats are paid when local college community college districts won't even approve cost-of-living raises.

At the San Francisco Chronicle, "UC regents confirm Sam Hawgood as UCSF chancellor":
The University of California regents on Thursday confirmed Dr. Sam Hawgood as the new chancellor of UCSF, where he has served as dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and interim chancellor.

Hawgood, 61, identified last week as UC President Janet Napolitano's top choice for the job, will fill the role left by outgoing Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, who left the university in the spring to become chief executive officer of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The new chancellor said he planned to focus his efforts on increasing funding for basic research at UCSF as well as promoting new partnerships to help commercialize advancements in technologic and biologic sciences.

"I understand and deeply respect the core values of UCSF - and both the principle and practice of shared governance with the faculty," Hawgood told the regents after they approved his appointment.

"But I know that, while we should remain connected to our past and preserve our values," he said, "our times call for a rigorous look at the reality of the world today and a willingness to move forward in new directions."

The regents approved a state-funded base salary of $500,000, plus $250,000 to be funded through an endowed chair, the Arthur Rock and Toni Rembe Distinguished Professorship, which was created for the chancellor position by the UCSF Foundation and uses no state funds.

Hawgood's total cash compensation ranks 34th among chancellors and presidents of the 62 public research universities that are part of the Association of American Universities, UC officials reported.

He will also receive an annual automobile allowance of $8,916 and be provided with the UCSF chancellor's home, UC officials said. The residence is maintained with non-state funds.

At least 20 civilians have died when shelling continued in the rebel-held city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine this morning, just hours after the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed, the Luhansk city administration has reported.

The city’s official administration said the deaths came on “another black day” where shells hit almost every district in the city as Ukraine's forces continued to advance against pro-Russian rebels.

In a statement, it said: "Today intense bombardment of Luhansk has continued. Shells are falling in almost all districts of the city. According to preliminary information, more than 20 civilians have been killed since this morning."

Shelling in the troubled eastern region also damaged an electricity substation and reduced access to water supplies after the powercut halted water pumping stations, according to the BBC.

The conflict continued as it emerged nine Britons are among the 298 passengers who died when the Boeing 777-200 was downed as it passed over the Krasni Luch in Luhansk region and Shakhtarsk in the neighbouring region of Donetsk on Thursday.

MSNBC host Krystal Ball was pranked live on air Thursday during her coverage of the Malaysian flight crash in Ukraine — with an apparent fan of shock jock Howard Stern posing as a military expert only to make a crude joke and call Ball a "dumbass."

"I was looking out the window and I saw a projectile flying through the sky, and it would appear that the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern's ass," the prankster said.

Ball ignored the remark and continued her questioning.

"So it would appear that the plane was shot down. Can you tell us anything more from your military training of what sort of missile system that may have been coming from?" she asked.

"Boy you're a dumbass, aren't ya?" came the reply.
Yep, a true dullard, even by MSNBC's gutter-level standards.

Dispute Over #Dodgers Games Could Be Defining Moment in Sports Programming

I've been bummed about this all season, as regular readers will recall, but what are you going to do? I get Cox Communications, and they're not budging in negotiations.

I blame the Dodgers personally, and I know they're taking a lot of heat from the fans. The owners aren't pleased, for sure, but the gods of corporate profit must be appeased. No baseball at all otherwise.

A great piece, at the Los Angeles Times, "Dodgers remain off most TVs in L.A. as dispute continues":
The Dodgers are in first place in their division and gunning for a berth in the World Series in October. But as the second half of the season begins Friday, most local fans aren't able to watch any of it on television.

Off the field no progress has been made in the standoff between Time Warner Cable, which is distributing the new Dodgers-owned channel SportsNet LA, and area pay-TV providers including DirecTV, Dish Network, Charter Communications and Cox Communications.

"It is unlikely that we are going to get a deal done," David Rone, president of Time Warner Cable Sports, acknowledged for the first time this week.

Dodgers President Stan Kasten called the situation "extremely troubling" and urged everyone to "return to the table to continue to work to try to make a deal as quickly as possible."

Before the start of the 162-game season, many observers expected that pressure from fans would force the pay-TV providers to the negotiating table, or face mass defections. That's what usually has happened in the past. But not this time.

Instead, Time Warner Cable and the providers are deadlocked in what could become a definitive moment for the world of sports programming, as the industry realizes that exorbitantly priced television deals can backfire...

Make no mistake: this is a really, really, really big deal. The plane, let's recall, was flying from Amsterdam.

For another, U.S. officials have long been saying that there's only one place that rebels can get this kind of heavy, sophisticated weaponry: Russia. This is why a fresh round of sanctions was announced yesterday. Now, the U.S. and a long-reluctant Europe may be forced to do more and implement less surgical and more painful sanctions.

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama is traveling to New York City Thursday for two campaign fundraising events during a national transportation tour.

He is scheduled to attend one event for the Democratic Party and another for the House Majority PAC, which tries to help Democrats win House seats. They are being held at separate private homes in Manhattan and are closed to media coverage.

Obama will spend about five hours in the city, arriving at Kennedy airport at 4 p.m., then heading to the fundraisers. He will return to the White House just after 9 p.m.

PHOTOS: At McAllen Border Patrol Station, 'Unaccompanied' Children Account for Less Than 20 Percent of Those Apprehended

Los Angeles Times correspondent Molly Hennessy-Fiske obtained entry to the Border Patrol station at McAllen, Texas. She reports that nearly 1,000 illegals are detained every day, but less that 20 percent of those are "unaccompanied" children.

This is not the image of the "It's for the children!" that the despicable leftists have been spinning, as I reported earlier, "It's Not 'Unaccompanied Minors': McAllen Border Station Flooded with 1000s of Adult Illegal Alien Criminals."

The number of immigrants coming across the border near the southern tip of Texas, the epicenter of the crisis, has fallen recently, [Border Patrol Regional Chief Robert] Duff said. Agents are catching about 900 migrants a day crossing the Rio Grande, compared with 1,200 a day last month, he said.

The agents are seeing half as many families as before, and unaccompanied children account for less than 20% of the people being apprehended, Duff said. It's not clear why the numbers have dropped, but the Border Patrol doesn't expect the trend to last.

The station was built to house migrants temporarily, not for days at a time. Duff said the facility could hold as many as 380 people, though he acknowledged that some officials say it should be fewer. There were 350 detainees on Tuesday, the day of the tour.

Walter James Casper's Civility Bullshit Enables Hatred and Racism

Ann Althouse designated a full blogging tag to "civility bullshit," which any simpleton halfwit knows is the left's meme to shut down criticism and debate.

I shake my head at this, but as conservative as she may be, Dr. Gina Loudon does no favors by disclaiming how "civil" her segments are going to be. Debate (and disagreement) is in fact not "civil" by its very nature. People defend a position and get fired up, and sometimes tempers flare. But it's especially lame to indicate how civil you're going to be when engaging people who are objectively uncivil and decidedly vicious.

I elaborated the point earlier today, "#Murrieta Protesters @CassandraRules and @BeautifulChaosJ Spew Lies and Hatred, Not 'Civility'." The two Murrieta women had a posse of hate-breathing racists at the ready. Racist and foul-mouthed, these are the last kind of people to lend the benefit of the doubt.


I think "Cassandra" responded as soon as I tweeted the post, and I dutifully engaged her and her hateful followers for some time. And boy, she's got some vile, genuinely demonic followers: leftist anti-colonialists spouting anti-nation-state excuses for anti-Zionist Jew-hatred; Israel-bashers cravenly and stupidly claiming to hate Israel is not anti-Semitic; anarchists with "V for Vendetta" avatars spewing sick disgusting venom and anti-Semitism; and 9/11 truthers blaming Israel for September 11.

I had hundreds of tweets polluting my mentions. Here's just one example of the disgusting effluence:


And for the life of me, I could have sworn Walter James Casper tucked tail last January when Robert Stacy McCain administered the smackdown of a lifetime, "Portrait of a Stalker Troll: @Repsac3, Also Known as Walter James Casper III."

#Murrieta Protesters @CassandraRules and @BeautifulChaosJ Spew Lies and Hatred, Not 'Civility'

I introduced myself to Dr. Gina Loudon at the Murrieta protest on July 7th. She graciously posed for a picture.

She's a beautiful woman with a good heart:



It turns's out Dr. Gina interviewed two of the Murrieta protesters who the police had to separate, along with their La Raza cohorts, from the few patriots gathered in front of the police command station. Her show is "Smart Life with Dr. Gina" on the Money Business Life Network. At the clip she speaks to "Cassandra" and "Jordyan Carroll," the latter of whom I spoke to very politely during the protest, suggesting that her protest sign was wrong and the land wasn't "stolen from" the Native Americans:



I commend Dr. Gina for seeking to achieve some sense of civility amid all the partisan debates. The problem is that the reason there's not much civility is because Americans are so divided on the issues. "Cassandra" and "Jordyan" are just as partisan and nasty as anyone else out there protesting. I know from experience, from having engaged them face-to-face. Unfortunately, Dr. Gina doesn't press these women hard on what their protests were really all about. Their stance is certainly not about "helping children." The overwhelming majority of Americans would jump at the chance to help an abandoned child (as "Cassandra" tries to portray the issue). Dr. Gina could have followed up with, "Okay, we all want to help children, but why are you protesting with a racist, separatist group of Hispanic supremacists who reject assimilation and the American ideal?" She doesn't ask that, so intent is she on blabbering about how much "agreement" there is between the two sides.

Actually, there's not much agreement beyond agreeing to talk nice. Dr. Gina could have further asked "What is your bottom line on the Central American immigrants? Do you support sealing the border and deporting the illegal migrants, which is what conservatives want"? "Cassandra" and "Jordyan" would have probably dropped the mask of civility and called Dr. Gina a racist.

Recall that Victoria Taft took a photo of the woman (a friend of "Jordyan"), who literally got in my face screaming "You're talking to my best friend!" Well, "Jordyan" sure didn't call off her "best friend" attack dog, and neither did "Cassandra," who you can see at the picture with her gold iPhone at center, either taking pictures or video of the confrontation.







Note too that when I spoke to "Jordyan" she claimed she "wasn't a leftist," but that's a lie if one is to peruse the postings at her Twitter page, where we see her recent tweets expressing solidarity with Palestine. She even re-tweeted tweets blaming George W. Bush for the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq.

And the same at "Cassandra's" page as well. She's got a stream of tweets attacking the Israelis as terrorists and oppressors:



So obviously, Dr. Gina missed a real opportunity with these two. She needed to direct some pointed questions at them to evoke some real sense of what they stand for, which, as we can see, is racist La Raza separatism and pro-Palestinian racist, Jew-hatred and anti-Semitism. All this talk about "civility" is bullshit cover for their ideological hatred and racist division.

WESLACO - A center for unaccompanied minors set to open in Weslaco later this year will be the first of its kind in the nation, officials with a network of non-profits said.

BCFS Health and Human Services secured a multi-million federal contract to house young illegal immigrants at the site of the current Palm Aire Hotel and Suites on FM 1015.

Representatives with BCFS said the Palm Aire will undergo a multi-million dollar transformation. BCFS runs a temporary detention center for young illegal immigrants at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

BCFS began as an orphanage for Hispanic children in San Antonio in 1944 "Children ... who weren't able to go into other orphanages. They weren't allowed at the white orphanages, they weren't allowed at the African-American orphanages," said Krista Piferrer, with BCFS external affairs.

The agency has grown into a multi-national network of health and human service non-profit organizations.

"We lead efforts that range from emergency management and disaster response to serving teens and youths who are aging out of the foster care system to serving impoverished communities and expectant mothers in the colonias," Piferrer said.

BCFS said the Weslaco facility will be completely self-contained.
Yes, I'm sure it'll be nice.

Would that America's most vulnerable citizens were getting such lavish accommodations and favoritism.

Indeed, as noted at Gateway Pundit, BCFS will be including "medical and mental health care, on-site educational programs, recreational programs and case management."

It's Not 'Unaccompanied Minors': McAllen Border Station Flooded with 1000s of Adult Illegal Alien Criminals

It's all you hear from the lawbreaking, criminal-coddling open-borders left: "It's for the children!"

Well, turns out there's very few children among the illegal immigrants continuing to surge over our Southern border.

Here's the Washington Post concern trolling yesterday for "child migrants" from Honduras, "traveling 1,400 miles with hardly any luggage from a bus station controlled by an extortion ring and used for trafficking women and contraband cigarettes."



Oh sure, some kids have come, many unaccompanied, but what the open-borders left isn't telling you is that children are now just a tiny proportion of the illegal immigrant invasion.

According to this report from Ashly Custer, at KGBT Action 4 News Harlingen, over a thousand illegal aliens are currently being processed daily at the McAllen Border Patrol station, but hardly any of them children. Indeed, as this report indicates, on the high end, McAllen gets as many as 1,300 illegals daily, but just six children were being processed there in the last 72 hours, a tiny fraction.

Border Patrol's RGV Sector Division Chief Robert Duff walked us through the center explaining how immigrants are typically processed.

Tuesday, the facility was holding an estimated 350 immigrants, which is just under its maximum capacity.

The center has 10 concrete holding cells and five additional cells for isolation. Immigrants are separated based on age and gender.

Duff said that on a good day, 1,300 people can be processed in 24 hours, which is a significant increase from past years.

Border Patrol told Action 4 News the goal is to process immigrants as quickly as possible because this is a temporary facility with no showers.

We asked about the processing times for minors and were told the average time is currently 21 hours, and there are only six kids in custody that have been processed for over 72 hours.

In June, that number was much greater.

Mayor Eric Garcetti Takes Obama's Illegal Alien 'Travel Cash' to House Border Jumpers in Los Angeles

The city was contacted by the Obama administration, and Garcetti, who's already a craven open-borders opportunist and tribalist, jumped on the chance to rake in HHS illegal alien "travel cash."

At the Los Angeles Times, "Garcetti says L.A. will shelter children who have crossed border":

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Tuesday that the city would help shelter immigrant children who have been detained after crossing the border and has begun talks with a federal agency about doing so.

"Before you get partisan, before you tell me where you are on immigration—these are children," Garcetti said Tuesday at a forum hosted downtown by Politico magazine.

"As a father, who are we as Americans if we don't step forward first and say, these kids who are isolated, alone … let's get them someplace safe and secure," the mayor told the crowd. Garcetti said the U.S.

Department of Health and Human Services has contacted the city, but he had few details Tuesday about what accommodating the children would entail or when it would occur.

Federal money would flow to pay for legal representation and temporary shelter, while local nonprofits are expected to help find homes for the children, he said.

Garcetti added that the city would also be an appropriate place to reunite many of the children with their families as their legal situation is worked out, because many of their parents are probably in the Los Angeles area.

Garcetti spokeswoman Vicki Curry later said the city's Office of Immigrant Affairs convened a meeting on Friday with officials from the Health and Human Services Department and representatives of local organizations that work with immigrants and the homeless.

Illegal Alien Jose Antonio Vargas: The Face of Leftist Lawbreaking and Entitlement

Vargas is the master illegal alien con artist.

The CBS News video provides mainstream media cover.

But Michelle Malkin breaks open the leftist lies, "Jose Antonio Vargas: The face of the entitled illegal alien":

An illegal-alien Icarus, Vargas had been riding high after movie theaters and CNN aired his biographical, pro-illegal immigration documentary.

His amnesty activism is backed by the progressive Tides Center, a project of George Soros and former ACORN chief organizer Drummond Pike. To his elite friends in the no-borders industry, he’s a “hero.”

Journalists, celebrities and politicians immediately swallowed the propaganda bait, rallying to their privileged pal’s side. “#DontDeportJose,” they all cried in an orchestrated Twitter campaign.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of law-abiding people from around the world are waiting patiently for their backlogged visa and green card applications to be reviewed.

Vargas’ outraged reporter friends don’t have much sympathy for those would-be Americans. Or for the Americans who’ve dedicated their lives to protecting homeland security and upholding our laws. Vargas’ enablers jumped to condemn the CBP employees in McAllen for doing their jobs and demanded that he be freed from “unfair” and “out of hand” detention, as one hysterical Roll Call reporter put it.

Unfair and out of hand?

As I’ve noted previously, Vargas came here from the Philippines as a child, but knowingly broke multiple laws as an adult in order to stay in the country. After being supplied with a fake passport with a fake name, a fake green card and a bogus Social Security number, he committed perjury repeatedly on federal I-9 employment eligibility forms. In 2002, while pursuing his journalism career goals, an immigration lawyer told him he needed to accept the consequences of his law-breaking and return to his native Philippines. He ignored the counsel and instead used a friend’s address to obtain an Oregon driver’s license under false pretenses. It gave him an eight-year golden ticket to travel by car, board trains and airplanes, work at prestigious newspapers, and even gain access to the White House — where crack Secret Service agents allowed him to attend a state dinner using his bogus Social Security number.

The Vargas stunt will backfire because it is a smug and emblematic middle finger to everyone outside the D.C.-Manhattan bubble who believes in following the rules. As legal immigrant Asoka Samarasinghe wrote to me on Monday, “Michelle, this guy is a slap to the face of all us legal immigrants and citizens.”

As for “due process,” celebrity illegal alien Vargas will undoubtedly get more bites at the immigration court and federal appeals apple than law-abiding citizens will ever enjoy (see Zeituni Onyango).

But the sob-story violins play on. Democratic New York Mayor Bill de Blasio sanctimoniously tweeted Monday afternoon: “I stand in solidarity with journalist and advocate (Vargas). He exemplifies what America is about.”

Only if “America” means protecting leftist law-breakers from the consequences of their reckless, arrogant actions.

Oracle, Arizona, Sees No Illegal Alien Buses, for Now

At the Arizona Republic, "Babeu keeps peace but buses with migrant kids a no-show":




The protest over immigrant children coming to Pinal County fizzled Tuesday afternoon after their buses failed to show.

A congressional source confirmed that the buses were not coming.

The buses were supposed to deliver between 40 and 60 children who were caught crossing into the U.S. illegally to the Sycamore Canyon Academy, a boys ranch in the Catalina Mountains, near Oracle, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Department.

There was no word on alternate plans for the children. Protesters and supporters began gathering early Tuesday morning for an expected confrontation. But there was only a brief skirmish between the groups, which have differing views on how the U.S. should deal with the surge of immigrant children from Central America who have crossed the border alone.

At one point, a few supporters of the immigrant children ventured toward the protesters, who had gathered a couple of miles away on Mount Lemmon highway. The protesters responded by shouting, "Commies!"

But there was nothing like the heated confrontations between similar groups in Murrieta, Calif., earlier this month.

Hypocrite Open-Borders Democrat Martin O'Malley Won't Take Illegals in Home State of Maryland

It's Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, who's being touted for his "compassion" on immigration by lamestream media outlets. At Politico, for example, "Martin O’Malley: Don’t send kids to ‘certain death’."

And at Katrina vanden Heuval's far-left, The Nation, "Martin O’Malley’s Right: The Immigration Debate Must Respect ‘Essential Human Dignity’."

But, make sure you're sitting down, now O'Malley's begging the Obama White House not to ship busloads of dangerous and diseased illegals to Maryland.

(CNN) - After his strong criticism of the Obama administration's plans to return thousands of young undocumented migrants back to Central America, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley asked a top White House official that the children not be sent to a site that was under consideration in his home state, sources familiar with the conversation said.

"He privately said 'please don't send these kids to Western Maryland,'" a Democratic source told CNN. The heated discussion between O'Malley and White House domestic policy adviser Cecilia Munoz occurred during a phone call late Friday evening, sources familiar with the conversation added.

A potential Democratic presidential candidate in 2016, O'Malley surprised some in his party when he sharply criticized a White House proposal to give new legal authorities to the Department of Homeland Security to expedite the deportation of the unaccompanied minors and their families.

“We are not a country that should turn children away and send them back to certain death,” O’Malley said last week at a National Governors Association meeting in Nashville....

Instead, the governor urged the administration to show compassion toward the children, describing some of the facilities where the young detainees are being kept as "kennels."

“Through all of the great world religions we are told that hospitality to strangers is an essential human dignity,” O’Malley said.

Hours after making those remarks, O'Malley expressed concerns to Munoz about a proposal under consideration by the Department of Health and Human Services to convert a former Army Reserve Center in Westminster, Maryland to house the children.

A senior O'Malley administration official confirmed the conversation took place. But the official stressed O'Malley did not reject the idea of temporarily housing some of the children in other parts of the state. "Governor O’Malley and his administration are working cooperatively with federal officials to find suitable locations in Maryland for unaccompanied minors fleeing violence in Central America," said O'Malley press secretary Nina Smith. "As he has said repeatedly, he believes the priority should be placing children with family members and–if that’s not possible–locating housing that is safe, humane, and non-restrictive," she added.

The HHS plan stirred up outrage among local elected officials in Maryland, including Rep. Andy Harris, R-Maryland, whose office cited "potential health risks" to the surrounding community. "Flying them to Maryland only to turn around and fly them back home is nonsensical.

Instead, President Obama should immediately return them to their nation of origin," Harris said in a statement.

HHS has since scuttled the plan for the Western Maryland site, an O'Malley official said.

ORACLE, Ariz. (AP) - Protesters carrying "Return to Sender" and "Go home non-Yankees" signs faced off with immigrant rights activists Tuesday in a small Arizona town after a sheriff said a bus filled with Central American children was on its way.

The rallies demonstrated the deep divide of the immigration debate as groups on both sides - and in similar numbers - showed up in Oracle to speak out on the issue.

It turned heated at times, with shouting matches and a group of mariachi musicians getting shoved before the skirmishes were quelled.

Anger has been spreading in the town of Oracle since Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu warned residents last week that immigrant children from Central America caught crossing the border illegally would be placed at the Sycamore Canyon Academy in Oracle. Protesters were hoping to mirror demonstrations in Murrieta, California, when immigrants were taken there recently.

"We are not going to tolerate illegals forced upon us," protester Loren Woods said.

Babeu is credited with stirring up the anti-immigrant protesters via social media postings and a press release Monday and by leaking information about the migrants' arrival to a local activist.

He addressed both sides of the protesters, asking them to remain civil, abide by the law and keep the roads cleared. Immigrant rights activists questioned Babeu about why he is stirring up protesters when he should be bringing order as the county's top lawman.

Babeu said he was simply informing the public and was at the site to make sure the protests on both sides were peaceful.

"All this was done in secrecy, and that's where a lot of people are upset," Babeu said Tuesday. "My concern (is) where's the federal government? Why are they not here? Why did they not hold a town hall to answer some of these questions?"

Pinal Sheriff Paul Babeu has moved patriot protesters off the roads, keeping the lanes clear for the expected busloads today in Oracle, Arizona.

Some reports on Twitter are claiming no buses will be sent today, citing Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick. But I don't see anything on that from Representative Kirkpatrick at her Twitter page.

Meanwhile, here's Sheriff Babeu today slamming the federal government, saying he's received no advance notice from Homeland Security (or anyone else) on shipments of illegals to Pinal County:

Immigration Backlash in Oracle, Arizona! Patriots Protest Feds' Open-Borders Tyranny!

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has played a key role in dueling protests planned for today in Oracle over the arrival of Central American immigrant children at a youth ranch — a position that has left the sheriff's critics and supporters at odds over whether he is inciting unrest or simply sharing information.

Last week, Babeu, a strong border-security proponent, mentioned that the displaced children were coming to Oracle as he promoted the candidacy of Christine Jones for governor. He later told political supporters and advocates of stricter immigration enforcement the exact location of the juvenile detention center where the displaced children will be temporarily housed.

Until then, a detention center for wayward youths in the Catalina Mountains called the Sycamore Canyon Academy had been a secret. The Sheriff's Office learned of the location from "whistle-blowers" within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Babeu's spokesman said in a news release Monday.

"We already have our hands full fighting the drug cartels and human smugglers. We don't need unaccompanied juveniles from Central America being flown into Arizona, compliments of President Obama," Babeu said in the statement. "Local residents have every right to be upset and to protest."

Babeu is deploying an unknown number of deputies to the site in southern Pinal County. The ranch has taken on extra staff in preparation for the children, who are described by people on one side of the immigration debate as refugees and and on the other as illegal immigrants.

Both sides will be in Oracle today. From 50 to 300 protestors are expected, Sheriff's Office Director of Administration Tim Gaffney said. No group asked for a permit, and they will be prevented from blocking roads, he said.

The planned Oracle protests could be a repeat of a recent showdown in the Southern California town of Murrieta, an inspiration to activists such as Robert Skiba. "We're going to stop it if we can," Skiba said.

"We will take all peaceful means necessary to stop the buses from entering this place."

Protesters in Murrieta, a city of 107,000 about 60 miles west of Palm Springs, thrust the community into the national spotlight earlier this month when demonstrators blocked buses carrying recent immigrants to be processed at a Border Patrol facility there. Another round of buses slated to arrive in the city on July 4 was rerouted, but dozens of people on both sides protested anyway. Six were arrested.

Skiba, a Babeu supporter, said he first learned of the transfer of children from Babeu at a National Rifle Association luncheon last week.

Alicia Bristow, another protest organizer, told allies in an e-mail Monday: "I spoke with Paul B. yesterday and he said the only way to stop this was for our community and the area to organize; and to contact our congressional members to tell them to stop this ludicrous dumping of illegals all over the country and especially, Pinal County."
