Obama's 'Like a Dog' Speech at the Milwaukee Laborfest

I spent yesterday afternoon writing a book review of Markos Moultisas' American Taliban, and also watching "The Watchmen" on cable. I therefore didn't pay much attention to President Obama's Labor Day politicking. But lots of folks are talking about his speech at the Milwaukee Laborfest. The key passage is at the video, but be sure to check William Jacobson's longer analysis of the speech itself:

Another in a series of unforced errors. It is hard to believe that Obama is President of the United States when he spends so much time acting un-Presidential. In dress, manner, speech, appreciation of country et al one could wonder if he is up to the task. He seems more like a petulant little child whining about almost everything.
Given his treatment of the people of this country dogs are treated far better than he seems capable of exhibiting. At least a dog has a sense of loyalty.
