Abortion Industry: "Too Many" Black Babies

Here's one of the sickest example of abortion extremism I've ever seen. Planned Parenthood of Ohio agreed to accept financial contributions on the condition that the money be used to fund abortions of black babies (link):

Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio confirmed to Cybercast News Service that the telephone conversation with a presumed donor occurred in mid-summer 2007, adding that it was not the policy of Planned Parenthood to accept donations specifically to underwrite abortions among minority women.

James O' Keefe, a first-year law student and an advisor for the The Advocate, made the telephone call posing as a potential donor to Planned Parenthood of Ohio.

The tape begins with a portion of the call in which O'Keefe confirms the location of the Planned Parenthood facility in Columbus, Ohio. According to Lila Rose, the editor-in-chief of The Advocate and a sophomore at UCLA, the tape then cuts to the relevant portion of the call in which O'Keefe offers a donation:

Planned Parenthood:"Planned Parenthood Administration, this is Lisa."
O'Keefe:"Hi. I am interested in making a donation today."
Planned Parenthood:"Let me put you through to Tim in our development office."
O'Keefe:"Is there anyone I can speak to now?"
Planned Parenthood:"Me."
O'Keefe: "Who am I speaking with now?"
Planned Parenthood: "My name is Lisa Hutton."
O'Keefe: "Lisa, what is your position?"
Planned Parenthood: "Administrative assistant."
O'Keefe: "When I underwrite an abortion, does that apply to minorities too?"
Planned Parenthood: "If you specifically want to underwrite it for a minority person, you can target it that way. You can specify that that's how you want it spent."
O'Keefe: "Okay, yeah, because there's definitely way too may black people in Ohio. So, I'm just trying to do my part."
Planned Parenthood: "Hmm. Okay, whatever."
O'Keefe: "Blacks especially need abortions too. So, that's what I'm trying to do."
Planned Parenthood: "Well, for whatever reason, we'll accept the money."
O'Keefe:"Great, Thank You."
Planned Parenthood:"Mmmm, hmmm."

What do you teach, again? Because your auditory comprehension, as well as your intellect, seem kind of faulty here. A telephone person fields a clearly lunatic call from a right wing racist posing, ineptly, as a philanthropist and fails to see the humor in the call and that is jumped up to Planned Parenthood's position on black babies?

Look, I get that very stupid people think that abortion is bad. And I get that it has been a tenet of right wing propaganda that Planned Parenthood makes money off of abortions. But its actually not really up for grabs. You can actually review their finances, and how much of their funding goes to, uh, helping poor people *plan* their *parenting* by enabling poor women without access to other health care to get basic services like obgyn, pap smears, pregnancy testing and even deliveries. Most of the money I donate to Planned Parenthood goes for all that, and contraception and abortion services. Which I personally think are necessary health care services for all women, not just poor women. And for mothers. Of babies! who don't want to be in Nadya Suleman's position and be excoriated for having the nerve to give birth to lots of babies they can't afford.

But in any event considering the number of death threats, actual deaths, and fake anthrax attacks Planned Parenthood receives on a daily basis, thanks to fear and hate mongers like your little phone caller, you can bet your boots that the woman on the phone stopped listening to him once she realized he was simply an asshole and not actually dangerous.

Wow, that my friends sounds like a very bad case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Trish: I don't take anonymous commenters seriously. If you hadn't replied already, I'd delete this rant.

Here's the money line:

"Most of the money I donate to Planned Parenthood goes for all that, and contraception and abortion services. Which I personally think are necessary health care services for all women, not just poor women."

No shades of gray, I guess, even if PP will accept money to specifically abort black babies.

PPs most loyal supporters are often very ignorant of the true personality and beliefs of Margaret Sanger. She was a eugenicist who believed in white supremacy and the inferiority of non-whites.

Lila Rose of Live Action Films is the bravest young woman in America.

She has dared to take on the biggest sacred cow of the holy grail of liberalism; the abortionists of Planned Parenthood.

It is the shame of our nation that this organization receives some $300 million in taxpayer money every year.
