Hopefully Mayor Ford pulls the funding for Pride because of these actions. Though Pride Toronto claims to not have "known" about such a crash; it was well advertised on the Dyke and Trans People for Palestines' facebook page.
Kudos to Kulanu Toronto for participating and providing Jewish support. My husband and myself, who are Jewish ourselves, would have joined them today in the full Pride Parade if work commitments had not come up.
When I was young I was a true Liberal in the classical sense of the word. The word "Liberal" has changed so much that it is now hard to recognize or even state one was a Liberal for fear of being tainted by a philosophy that tends to marginalize everyone and wants to make them a slave to the State. It isn't called the "Liberal Plantation" for nothing
Today Liberalism or LIB has come to mean'
L = Lying
I = Intolerant
B = Bigot
Worse yet it has taken on a persona of violence. Everywhere one looks they see a Liberal or leftist who wants to "punch this person," kill that individual, and resort to every form of threat. One only has to look to events like this or to Wisconsin, New Jersey, or almost any union gathering, et al.
It seems that they have lost the capacity to debate and present a well reasoned argument for their beliefs so they fall back on the only tools they have left, Violence, threats, intimidation and ultimately the destruction of all who might challenge them.
They have become the "Mob" and have given up all hope of independent thought for the rush of emotions that solves nothing.
The stupidity of their protest is that if they marched in an Arab nation they would be arrested, tortured, and most likely killed. Not because of their political expression per se, but because of their sexual orientation.
