Lady Gaga Joins BP Boycott

At CNN, "More Musicians Join BP boycott":
Korn and the Backstreet Boys lead the way by turning their summer tours into BP-free odysseys, and a slew of musicians have followed suit.

Lady Gaga, Creed, Godsmack, Disturbed, Rise Against, Slightly Stoopid, Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Black Label Society with Zakk Wylde, Anthrax, Filter, Hellyeah and Flogging Molly are all bypassing BP fuel for other options, according to a statement.

Early estimates show about 100 buses, vehicles and trucks belonging to committed musicians are involved in the boycott.
No word if Gossip Boy is joining her.

Don't these people know boycotting BP does more harm than good. The local service station owner has nothing to do with the oil spill. Not to mention who will pay for the spill if we bankrupt BP? Do these brilliant stars know that the CEO's and high ups in BP will not suffer from their boycott. It is all the people who they employ and the small business owners who run the gas stations and the people they employ. I know it is difficult but lets use our brains and common sense.

Too bad. I like some of these bands. Anon is spot on. I'm sorry.ARCO has the least expensive gas around and we will go there to fill up the tank. Is BP an incompetent company? Why, yes they are. But the real lesson is that by trying to be the leading "green" oil company, the minute there is something like this, all the "allies" turn on them. Also, this is exactly what the left does. Play on emotion and make no sense.

If you are looking for well reasoned positions in what passes for the "artistic" community, especially music, then you have not been paying attention. Even in the best of cases that which makes an artist great militates against logical thinking. To analyze is to paralyze in performance. One has to rely on a different part of the brain and that interferes with rational thinking.
One has to have the ability to compartmentalize in order to do both well and that skill is in short supply especially on the Left.
I still think that "Lady Gaga" is a cheap impression of Madonna.
