Partisan Backlash Erupts Over Obama's Non-Accomplishments

Here's the RNC's response to the DNC's response to Michael Steele's response to President Obama's Nobel Prize:
“Like most Americans, the DNC can’t think of one achievement that the president has accomplished, so they resort to their predictable response and standard playbook of demonizing those who disagree with them. First they call Americans concerned over health care ‘rabid extremists’ and ‘angry mobs.’ Now, when challenged to answer the question of what the president has accomplished, Democrats are lashing out calling Republicans terrorists. That type of political rhetoric is shameful.”

The People's Cube guy is going to get a nasty letter from the Cracker Jack people. To obtain the Cracker Jack prize you have to actually do something; eat the Cracker Jacks or dig to the bottom of the box. That far exceeds what Obama had to do to get the Nobel Peace Prize. There is no comparison.

The GOP has shriveled into the Southern rump regional Party of NO.

The Republican Party is the party of bigots, xenophobes, religious ideologues -- and it's lousy with fringe extremists.

It's the party of attack dogs: I'm right, you're wrong, and if you disagree, then you're un-American.

It's the party that promotes the dumbing down of America, where being stupid is good and being educated is "elitist."

It's the party filled with self-repression and sanctimonious projection -- a lot of psychological turmoil in denial.

It's the party that rewards greed and cronyism -- and doesn't give a flying flip about helping your fellow man or woman.

The GOP is furious that a black man is in the White House. They unequivocally want our President to fail.

The Republican Party is the party that vilifies anyone who disagrees with their very narrow view of the world, appeals to the the basest of human nature, and then wraps it up in the American flag and calls it patriotism.

What a morally bankrupt and pitifully loathsome thing to be.

Anon,

Up to the same lies, dissembling and half truths. I suspect that most of Anon's statement applies more to Anon than anyone elese. Isn't transference a wonderful thing?

Great quote from the DNC earlier today, as I'm sure you know.

It's nice to know that the GOP is siding with Hamas and the Taliban because they cannot believe Obama-man won the Nobel Peace Prize for his good intentions and o real action or proof.

Can we get any more vitriolic? I'm waiting for Pelosi to say Conservatives also carry swastikas- oops, she already did say that, didn't she! Silly me.

And to anonymous: Mr. Douglas is kind enough to allow anonymous comments from cowards on his blog. From me you would receive no such courtesy. On the simple basis alone that you have chosen to not put your name on your words is only indicative of your sorely lacking character, integrity, and resolve. Coward. Go back to Daily Kos before someone drops a house on your head.

I would say come visit me at my blog, but, oh that's right, I don't allow anonymous posters.

There she comes. Miss World won the title because she gives nice speeches and wishes for world peace. Some day all awards and prizes will be given not for what one accomplishes, but for feeling good about oneself.
Really does fit in with the left's idea of accomplishment: Who wants to DO good when you can feel good and actually receive prizes for it over and above those who actually do something good.
Actually I think this will do more harm to Obama because now every decision he makes will be looked at through the prism of the Nobel prize. Is he making that decision because it is the best one, to be seen as a leader not subject to manipulation by outsider who wish influence or to maintain the aura of winning the Nobel Peace prize?
The damage the Nobel committee has done to Obama will haunt every decision he makes. Truly stupid.
