Amy Bishop Killed Minorities: Leftists Silent on 'Racist' Rampage; Victims' Families Ask, 'Why Was She Still Teaching?'

I just noticed something about the Amy Bishop case: Her victims were minorities. From left to right at the photo: Dr. Adriel Johnson Sr., Dr. Gopi Podila, and Dr. Maria Davis. The image is from CBS News, "Did Amy Bishop, Accused University of Alabama Shooter, Murder Her Own Brother?"

But I noticed this after watching the clip at ABC's Good Morning America below. And see, "Alabama University Shooting: Suspect Amy Bishop's Violent Past Gets Another Look":
The alleged violent past of the once-seemingly docile University of Alabama professor accused of a fatal shooting rampage has stunned the family of her victims and prompted investigators to probe deeper into her past.

Amy Bishop was a suspect in an attempted mail bombing of a Harvard professor. ABC News has learned that investigators will re-open the 1986 shooting death of professor Amy Bishop's brother. Declared accidental at the time, investigators say they were never comfortable with the ruling.

Investigators also revealed that seven years later, Bishop was the prime suspect in a 1993 mail bombing attempt on a Harvard Medical School professor.

"I just feel angry," LaTasha Davis, step-daughter of shooting victim Maria Davis, told "Good Morning America" today. "How did she even get a job working at the school when she had that type of background?"

This is really something: Not only is Amy Bishop a leftist who killed her brother and got a pass from the politically correct criminal justice system (especially Democratic Congressman and then-Massachusetts DA Bill Delahunt), she's also a suspected pipe bomber who is now accused of premeditated murder of three faculty colleagues who were presiding over her tenure case. But add on top of this the fact that the premeditation included the planned killings of three non-white colleages and this really should be explosive for the radical multiculturalists. They keep looking for "motive" (here) or they suggest that Bishop killed as the "result of growing up in a dysfunctional home" (here), which is a version of the "deranged individual" theory so popular among folks who guffaw at the thought that jihadis might actually wage holy war on the innocents (here). But perish the thought that Bishop's motive could have been racism? Maybe Harvard-trained left-wing professors get a pass on that. Leftists aren't asking, in any case. And there's been a deafening silence of the race of the victims from the Obama-enabling press corps. If the suspected killer of Drs. Johnson, Podila, and Davis had been a fan of Michelle Malkin or Rush Limbaugh, the entire radical netroots would have by now mounted a lynch-mob campaign against the "fanatical right." And that's to say nothing of the Larisa Alexandrovnas and Al Sharptons who'd creep out of their victimology hell-holes to decry the "racist" murders of the diverse faculty members.

But it's a quiet few days on the left. The Amy Bishop case isn't fitting the template for the race-hustling outrage of the moment.

ADDED: Blazing Cat Fur, "Leftist Racial Killing Spree."

AND MORE: See also the first-hand report from Professor Joseph Ng, a former UC Irvine student, who witnessed the murders. Ng confirms Amy Bishop's premeditation and potentially racist motivations. Ng is a Chinese surname. I'll need more information, but so far one-fourth of those at the tenure meeting were ethnic minorities. I'll update later, but it very well could be that Amy Bishop was disgruntled because "quota hires" were denying her tenure. Perhaps the lady was "white trash" and never quite broke out into the more supposedely refined strata of the faculty elite (or, more likely, they're all like that). Boy, this just keeps getting worse for the radical leftists! See, "Former UCI Student Saw Faculty Shootings":

We were 12 all together (including the shooter) sitting around an oval table in a modest size conference room . There were only one door to enter/exit. The shooter was a disgruntled faculty member who didn’t get tenured after several appeals and a law suit. About 30min into the meeting, she got up suddenly, took out a gun and started shooting at each one of us. She started with the one closest to her and went down the row shooting her targets in the head. Our chairman got it the worst as he was right next to her along with two others who died almost instantly.

That's almost like an assembly line, Che Guevara-ish in fact, or Taliban-ish.

Ha ha ha. A moronic cretin too cowardly to leave his name drops a fecal bouquet on your comment site. Just his/her projecting the quality of their left-wing thought processes, that's all.

More importantly, I'm sure Delahunt is very amenable to having Islamic terrorists undergo a tender civil court process rather than the summary military tribunal that the Congress okayed after 9/11.

The students at the Neville Chamberlain school of advanced kowtowing and turning the other [butt]cheek ala Andy Sullivan, like Steve Taylor, certainly have their representatives in Congress and the White House, for the moment.

Good work on this whole case, Prof.

PS: Do you think, somehow, in someway, The TrogloPundit is involved? Just asking questions...

They keep looking for "motive" (here)

I keep looking for evidence that you can read. If you can't, have someone read my post to you and then point to anything I wro te that suggests I'm "looking for 'motive.'" You're looking for a link between her politics and the killings to score political points. I'm looking for evidence that you're full of it. And you keep giving it to me.

Steve M.: You're denying your own post: As you write:

"Was any of this done out of a political motive?"

And this:

I don't see politics (as opposed to office politics) as the motive for anything Amy Bishop is accused of. She may be a sociopathic nut, but her sociopathy is apolitical. Unless that changes, it's apples and oranges.

And Greg Girard? Actually, that's a baseless smear, which is what you idiots do all the time. But when one of your own kills, you're silent as scurrying mice.

Steve M. said...

I'm discounting what's obviously not her motive. I'm not looking for a motive beyond that. You on the other hand, are engaging in a massive act of projection, because you've already determined her motive as judge, jury, and executioner -- she killed because she's an evil Satanic liberal.

And what I write about Girard is a "smear"? Really? Um, please prove this case, using the writers of Girard collected here to support your argument. Go on. I'll wait.

Good God, Steve, take your time when you post. It's DONALD NOT DAVID:

"That link is a link to this post -- in other words, according to Mr. Douglas, what I write above is a search for motive.

I keep looking for evidence that Donald Douglas can read. I say above that wingnuts like him are looking for links between Bishop's politics and the killings, in order to score political points. That seems glaringly obvious. Is there anything I say above that offers positive speculation regarding motive? All I do is discount any connection between Bishop's politics and the crimes. That's because all the evidence suggests that politics wasn't her motive.

Douglas, of course, is engaging in a massive amount of projection, because he thinks every terrible moment in Bishop's history is the result of a vast conspiracy, on the part of Bishop and others, to kill and cover up killings and explain away killings, all of it motivated by evil Satanic leftism:

Not only is Amy Bishop a leftist who killed her brother and got a pass from the politically correct criminal justice system (especially Democratic Congressman and then-Massachusetts DA Bill Delahunt), she's also a suspected pipe bomber who is now accused of premeditated murder of three faculty colleagues who were presiding over her tenure case. But add on top of this the fact that the premeditation included the planned killings of three non-white colleages and this really should be explosive for the radical multiculturalists.... perish the thought that Bishop's motive could have been racism? Maybe Harvard-trained left-wing professors get a pass on that.

In wingnut Cloud-Cuckooland, of course, all lefties are racist and all racists are lefties.

You know what? I have no freaking idea whether there was a racial motive in these killings. I know that, when you dig into the past, the intended pipe-bomb victim was white, and Bishop's brother was white. Maybe David Douglas has an explanation for how those crimes, if she's guilty of them, fits his new theory of racism. Maybe back then she was trying to eliminate the white race, one whitey every few years, as a revolutionary act. I sure hope he tells us. He has such insight into the criminal mind -- I'm dying to know."

P.S. I'm currently working on a post illustrating your freakin' hypocrisy ... will update here, so you won't lose your way in your confusion.

Amy Bishop Leftist? The phrase “Amy Bishop Was Obsessed with Obama” can be read two ways:
1) This woman thought positively of him and wished him no harm
…but infinitely more likely since she clearly had violent tendencies toward people who held some type of authority…
2) She was negatively obsessed. Like the three people she killed the other day (who, as you so astutely pointed out, happen to be people of color) the Pres. probably is/was on her Crazy-Town Hit List.

Amy Bishop killed 3 people – pretty much all the minority faculty at UAHuntsville. Dr. Podila was from India, Dr. Adriel Johnson and Dr. Maria Davis were African American. Absolutely fascinating theory, (sic) if the translation of "obsessed" suddenly equates she "worshipped" the first African American president.

Anyway, this politicized discussion is distracting people with craziness – why aren't there more posts which mourn the loss of these three doctors (scientists)? And don't forget to show concerns for the three other people she clipped and/or seriously wounded...a Mexican American, and two Anglo Americans.

Yeah, and pigs might fly out of my arse. Maybe, maybe, maybe, you can conject anything but it don't mean a thing - you're just trying to make politics out of it.

Interesting... but she attempted to kill more people than she actually managed to. Aren't three other people injured but still alive? What are their races?

(Not that I'm defending her or anything...)

It is pretty clear by the comments of most on this site , that they are so blinded by race hatred and jealously that they condone the killings of the 3 college professors because they are not white and republican. It is the same rationalizing that is behind the constant attacks on pres Obama since day one of his presidency. These are the same attitudes that have been expressed by people in and out of government that are dedicated to making sure that the country fails so that is viewed as his failure. This is so sick that any and everything that is a negative in the world, is tagged to him , whether it happened before he was in office, born or otherwise. Every despot from stalin to hitler they try to tie him to. Anyone with an ounce of brains, or integrity would be disassociated with such bunk!

If Amy Bishop were a Tea Partier, or a Republican, does anyone doubt that the MSM would accusing her of racism? Please, the white cop who was forced to arrest Gates in Cambridge was called a racist - even after a black cop supported the arrest.
Lefty Hitler (when the name of your party is the National Socialist Workers and you profess admiration for Lenin, it's kind obvious) was a racist.
Left-winger Margaret Sanger published Hitler's eugenics expert, Dr. Ernst Rudin. Heck, she spoke at a KKK women's rally.
If the shoe fits...
Which political party enacted the Jim Crow laws in the South? Who segregated civil servant in DC? Wilson

This vicious crime is why **every** adult who is able to should own a handgun for self-defense, and why every adult should advocate for concealed carry in his state of residence. There are loonies out there, and the police are under no responsibility to protect you.

In Warren v. D.C., the D.C. Superior Court held that police do not have a legal responsibility to provide personal protection to individuals:
"Although recognizing the obligation of public employees to perform [...] their duties fully and adequately, the law properly does not permit that obligation to be enforced in a private suit for money damages." (from the decision)

Plain language translation: You're on your own!

I have linked to your story at my blog.

If that wacko had been from Guin, Alabama then you can believe the left would have been yelling she was racist. But a Harvard-educated Bostonian can't be a racist.

One note however, she attempted to shoot Dr. Moriarty as well but the gun either jammed or was out of ammo. Moriarty is white.
