The Coffee Party Movement

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I doubt tea partiers could care one whit about the homage the "Coffee Party Movement" pays to conservative activists. I mean, seriously, this woman, Annabel Park, a recent Korean immigrant, puts a kinda every-woman gloss on the Joan Walsh-Keith Olbermann-Janeane Garofalo "racist tea-bagger" smears we've been hearing for a year now. Indeed, it's offensive to hear her basically allege that tea partiers reject diversity. Olbermann's already been hammered from all quarters for his idiot rant a couple of weeks ago. Frankly, we'd see more diversity on the conservative right except for the victimology stranglehold that's inculcating a grievance ideology and cultist politics among minority communities today. And when minorities break out of that death-grip, they're branded as racist "minority front groups" for the hegemonic white supremacist power structure. It's pretty contorted, but listen to Miss Park sing it! She hits all the right notes about the left's "reality-based" program and she excoriates the "extremist" politics of the tea partiers. Hmm ... you get the feeling that in fact she's a tool herself, of the Obama power-cult of Daily Kos-OFA-SEIU-MoveOn.org mind-crush totalitarians.

In any case, no one's fooled by this woman's simplistic diversity-based charm. But FWIW, see WaPo's piece, "Coffee Party Activists Say Their Civic Brew's a Tastier Choice Than Tea Party's." (Via Memeorandum.) And see Moonbattery, "Progressive "Coffee Parties" Let the Crap Fly."

I wasn't aware that anyone watched Olberman or cared what the intellectually challenged slattern chasing thought. :)

The Forgotten Terror Attack

Seventeen years ago, today, a huge fist smashed the left side of my head. Someone’s mugging me and I’ll meet the floor in a second, I thought. But I was floating in air watching the tiny fragments of ceiling and wall tiles take flight about the room. I had experienced the force from the bomb in the World Trade Center, a completely unprovoked act of senseless terror.

The man 20 feet from me lay in a pool of blood on the floor. His ashen appearance told me he was dead. I saw piles of people lying near the turnstiles to the PATH trains. I helped a bloodstained, elderly woman up the huge flights of stairs, because she couldn’t manage the task by herself.

Every day the news reports terror attacks at various locations around the world. When will this insanity end?

Hope you don’t mind that I posted the reminder.

This looks like an obvious thing done by this young lady to draw attention to HER Facebook page.
I seriously wonder if she has even bothered to check before doing this.
The Tea and Coffee analogy is fine, but why I ask if she has bothered to check is that it has nothing at all to do with the drink per se.
The word TEA in Tea Party is the acronym for Taxed Enough Already.
I wonder what Coffee stands for.
I also wonder if she bothered to check the analogous link back to what happened in Boston, what that was about, and why the current TEA party movement links back to that.
If this is what this young lady's perception of Politics is, then those people of her age have indeed been brainwashed by the Mainstream Media.
Listen closely to what she says.
"We need people to get out of the way."
In other words, what our side says is good, and ANY who speak against that, for any reason are just in the way of that.
I'm from Australia, and even I can see that.
This looks like a four and a half minute plea for people to visit her Facebook page, and that's all.

How appropriate they are using Coffee as their liquid. It is used as an unconventional ingredient in enemas. That is exactly what this government needs right now in Congress and the white house.
