Angie Harmon: "I Disagree With Obama"

I miss watching Angie Harmon, and not just for her wholesome attractiveness. As Jack McCoy's assistant district attorney on Law and Order, her voice alone would melt you.

Angie Harmon

Now, this post is not an official "Rule 5" entry. Considering Ms. Harmon's in the news today, for her comments on Barack Obama, I'd suggest this entry qualifies as "using cheesecake in a highly relevant fashion," as my friend Stogie has suggested.

But check out the article for yourself, "Angie Harmon: I'm Not Racist Because I Disagree With Obama":

Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."

Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.
"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.

And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.

"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me."

Now, that's talking hot conservative politics!

Although I believe McCain is no different than Obama (both voted for the unconstitutional banker bailout and both would have continued to be controlled by the bankers), Ms. Harmon is dead-on when it comes to being accused of being racist simply because of Obama's skin color. Obama promised to withdraw troops from Iraq, which was a lie. That supposed withdrawal has been pushed back to 23 months. He's amassing more troops in Afghanistan. And he's promised to capture the invisible Osama Bin Laden (another CIA invention). Now Pakistan is next. Obama is continuing the imperialist policies like Bush and like McCain would have. This country is controlled by the bankers and their desire for a global bank and global currency. People need to wake up and that includes Ms. Harmon.

Mas1916, I completely agree.

anonymous, you sir, need to get back on your meds. Stop listening to those pesky voices. (Osama is a CIA invention? Bet the Russians would love to have known that back in the day)

That's my all time favorite Angie Harmon pic. And pretty much the best pic I ever put on my blog.

Brains, beauty, talent- no wonder she isn't a lib!

Greywolfe, you need to wake up. Why don't you pull up the youtube clip of Benazir Bhutto discussing the death of Osama Bin Laden. I'm sure you weren't aware of that because it's never received air play in the mainstream media. And is it a shocker Ms. Bhutto is no longer with us? Why don't you look up Operation Northwoods? Oh..maybe General Smedley Butler's short book, "War is a Racket". And I'm sure you're familiar with Eisenhower's speech on the military industrial complex. Why don't you go back to your bedroom and bow to your posters of Sean Hannity, O'Reilly, and Bush and all the other warmongers that you love to admire? Do some research Greywolfe and stop swallowing everything Fox News shoves down your ears. People like you are the reason why this country is in serious trouble. But what do you care? I'm sure your philosopy is to expand our military presence to over 200 countries. 130 is just not enough for you. I'm sure you cried over McCain's losing the election. But you're too clueless to realize Obama is no different than McCain. They are both owned by the same group of people. Again..do some research instead of cheering on the deaths of more Iraqis and afghanis and US troops...all in the name of trying to find that boogeyman, Osama Bin Laden.

Never thought I'd be saying this but I agree with Greywolfe. Anon, you're nuttier than squirrel turds, and I'm certainly not one of those guys you described who jerk off to Hannity and O'Reilly (although I do laugh my ass off at them). But I am curious: what other CIA conspiracies have you personally uncovered? This should be good...

But getting back to Don's post, I read an interesting little piece today that asked the question I'm going to repeat now: "Who the hell called Angie Harmon a racist for disagreeing with President Obama?" If anyone can find a specific documented incident or even an unsubstantiated rumor about this besides her own bitching I'd be very interested to see it, cause it sounds to me like Angie is playing a combination race card/straw man of her own.

Interesting JBW...I find it interesting that you chose to label me nuttier than squirrel turds though I am certain you didn't take the time research the few things I suggested to Greywolfe. Instead of resorting to 3rd grade name-calling, why don't you use that little brain of yours, open your mind, and conduct some research? Or are you too close minded like the die-hard republicans and liberals that cluelessly vote for 'their' democrat or 'their' republican?

Angie best be careful, as any further criticism of the empty-suited George Soros rubber-stamp might just get her blacklisted by the Prozac-popping Hollyweird elites.

Should she fail to repent from her blatant blasphemy, fall on her face in praise of the Marxist messiah and beg for his forgiveness, she'll soon find herself packed off to a career of B movies filmed in Texas involving chainsaws, and 3am infomercials involving cheesy Chinese cookware.

I have lost count of the number of times I have been called a racist for daring to criticize the new head of Government Motors.

At least I have the comfort of knowing these government-schooled future net tax consumers couldn't correctly define the term with a dictionary and a 10 minute head start.

The term "racist" has been overused and defined down to the point where it is now utterly meaningless.

Trust me. I am a life-long Atlanta resident. People around here can make a racial issue out of mowing the lawn.
