I watched this with the sound off. Awesome! "Great post", Don.

Why the sound off, JBW?

Because I assume that it's going to be the same conversation she's already had many times with other interviewers and it would be distracting from their real talents: looking hot on TV.

Mr. Johnson's doing your thinking for you, JBW...

I posted comments about Ms. Prejean yesterday, perhaps the day before. Then I realized I had forgotten to say what impressed me the most about her. It is this - this woman has a very clear moral compass, and just as clearly, that compass guided her at that tournament. This has nothing to do with whether my own moral compass agrees with hers:) Rather, it is so EXCEPTIONAL anymore for a young person to be so quietly confident. That is what impressed me the most. No shouting down the opposition for her, no sarcasm, no false piety. This woman just plain SHINES with some inner light guiding her along. And, indeed, that is what she inferred, the first time I heard her speak post-tournament. Is it possible that THIS quality is what so aggravates those who mock her? I believe, yes. The mockery is born of envy. "If I can't have what you have, I'll make sure that you can't have it, either."

The words "blinded by the light" come to mind, but unlike Saul/Paul, I daresay there will be no transformations among those who mock this exceptional lady.

I call him "Mr. Happy", Don. A remnant of my watching too much Robin Williams in my youth, I suppose.

And he doesn't do all of my thinking for me, just when I watch hot conservative chicks attempting to express their viewpoints on yadda, yadda, yadda...

And yes, I "mock this young lady" but rather than being "blinded by the light", I expect to be "wrapped up like a douche in the middle of the night".

Points for getting that one, ya'll...

No points whatsoever, JBW. You have no class. Based upon the other comments you have made upon this site, it appears your only interest is, indeed, to mock the comments of others. How wearisome. And how puerile.

Let's turn the tables for a moment. Let's imagine that Perez Hilton is runner up in the Mr. Queen America pageant and Carrie asks him the same question he asked her and he answers in the affirmative. Would she have marked him down for his answer? (Which by the way is view point discrimination) No, because she respects and supports his right to have his opinion even if it disagrees with hers. Hilton respects neither. She's fair and he's a hypocritical bigot.
I love you Carrie. You're intelligent and incredibly beautiful. Thank you being an example of standing for your convictions. I pray God will bless you for it even while Perez and his crew will curse you for it.
