We Want the World and We Want it Now...

I saw the Ramones in concert at the Hollywood Palladium when Pleasant Dreams was released in 1981. According to Wikipedia, "It was frowned upon by guitarist Johnny Ramone because to him it sounded 'too slick' and is generally viewed as part of the Ramones' pop experimentation." Perhaps. But I love the etherial guitar intro at the studio version below, and seeing a live performance with the Ramones is just, well, authentic. Enjoy:

As always, check my good friend Anton's Sunday music club, "Sunday Music – Yester Me Yester You Yesterday." Also, Theo Spark, "Thursday Totty ..."
