CEO Bertha Lewis released an earlier statement at ACORN's main page:
As a result of the indefensible action of a handful of our employees, I am, in consultation with ACORN's Executive Committee, immediately ordering a halt to any new intakes into ACORN's service programs until completion of an independent review.Looks like the termination of "new intakes" is starting right away, with the immediate downsizing of service delivery for the group. I took these photos. At bottom is the protest sign of Tawnya, one of the Orange County 9-12 protest organizers who visited the office today (that's her reflection in the first picture at the window):

Oooooooh, more lay offs. Couldn't have happened to nicer people!
Thank AA!
These people are like cockroaches. The light was shown on them and they scattered, only to collect elsewhere under a different banner.
You're funny, Blog Prof!!
Watch for them to resume operations under the name they announced they would change to this past June, Community Organizations International.
