What Barack Obama has ushered into the American political landscape is not good for our country; in the words of an ancient maxim, “what starts twisted, ends twisted.”
His health-care bill is unhealthy for America. It raises taxes, slashes the more private side of Medicare, installs price controls, and puts a new federal bureaucracy in charge of health care. It will create a new entitlement even as the ones we already have are bankrupt. For these reasons and more, the act should be repealed. That campaign begins today.

Mitt Romney: 'A Campaign Begins Today'
I sure would have liked to have had a few minutes to sit down and chat with Mitt Romney the other night. My sense is that he's the most credible frontrunner for the GOP nomination, credible in that he's probably more electable than Sarah Palin in the general election. I like them both, although I'm ideologically much closer to Palin. That said, I'll be pulling for both Palin and Romney this year as we move into the 2011 "invisible primary" season. In any event, Romney's sure gotten a jump on the competition this morning, with his essay at National Review, "A Campaign Begins Today" (via Memorandum). As Romney rightly indicates, President Obama, with his ObamaCare legislation, has abused his authority and mandate in office:

Romnney's a good guy and could maybe be the best one to fix the economy, no doubt- seems hawkish enough, and an excellent manager.
BUT the issue of the day is HC... and RomneyCare is little better than what was foisted on us yesterday. Has he ever said it was a mistake, or spoke out forcefully against ObamaCare? If he has, I sure haven't seen it.
Mitt has been playing it safe and laying low while other patriots support the TEA Parties and fight Obama tooth and nail... where is Romney at this historic moment?
Will take a brave, principled here to turn this ship around... Romney is more of a clever, pragmatic opportunist/survivor- and surely not my front-runner.
Amen and good on him.
Although I think that we are going to be seeing some strong candidates coming out of the woodwork over the next couple of years.
This is, as history will prove, the pivotal turning point of America. You write about American Power; everything surrounding ObakaKare and the future bills to issue forth from DC will ensure that American power is radically diminished on all levels.
Are Americans, at their core, both greedy and blind? Do they simply want their entitlements and Free Cheese and to Hell with how this is to accomplished in Reality?
Apparently, yes.
