Rachel Maddow Can't Confirm Anything in Her Militia Member Smear on the Tea Party Movement

This Rachel Maddow segment pretty much sums up the total journalistic amateurism at MSNBC. She's spends five minutes stretching to find some kind of connection between the Hutaree militia and the "right wing extremists" (read tea partiers) who've been marching in anti-ObamaCare protests in D.C. And to top it off, her "expert" is the completely asinine hack Dave Neiwert, who argues that Americans freaked out over a few men with "turbans" on September 11, while the "real threat" to the United States is "right wing domestic terrorism." These people are bad.

I'll be the first to condemn the militia movement's extremism. I want nothing to do with them, and I can't name a single conservative blogger or tea partier -- and that by now includes dozens, even hundreds, of leaders in the conservative movement today -- who would even deign to associate with potential domestic terrorists. Meanwhile, the Obama administration keeps close ties with Code Pink fanatics who're serving as a direct link to the Taliban insurgency. This White House refused to condemn the Fort Hood attacks as domestic jihad, and the "system worked" when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to blow up a plane over Detroit. But hey, I better watch it: That's RAAACIST!!!

And for comparison, see my earlier entry, "
The Left/Right Divide: Which Side Would You Choose?"

In any case, TPM-Muckraker's working hard to generalize and normalize the militias, "
For Hutaree, Militia Ethos Extended To Family Life."

But see tonight's New York Times, "Militia Members Draw Distinctions Between Groups."

I love that they asked for “Public Defenders”, I guess they now know about the undercover FBI agent. The simpleton Tea baggers keep missing the point. These are the same whiners that were crying when the McCain/Bailin ticket lost. Now they are crying again because their yelling (because they are haters not debaters) did not stop health care from passing. They think they can scare, intimidate and force others to go along with them by comments like “This time we came unarmed”, let me tell you something they are not the only ones that are armed and not all ex-military join the fringe militia crazies who don’t pay taxes and run around in the parks playing commando, the majority understand that the world is more complicated and grey then the black and white that these simpleton make it out to be and that my friend is the point. So it’s only fitting that their leaders are Sarah Bailin, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and their turn coat Glenn Beck. So if you are bothered that there are some misconceptions of your group, well then I think you need to be more careful who you invite to give you speeches.

Montana: Stay on point, or just go somewhere else. Did it even occur to you that Maddow has exactly zero evidence for what she's talking about, and only commuist like Neiwert seriously entertain the notion that right wing extremists are more dangerous than Islamic jihid?

Dude, when the other militias call you crazy - YOU CRAZY! LOL!

Maybe I'm a bit off topic - I hardly have the energy to care what this loony tune Rachel Maddow has to say. I just can't get over that the other known militias in the area pegged the guys who got arrested as total whackos. Which they ARE obviously.

And you know - the militias are nuts! So thank you Donald for keeping an eye on Rachel Maddow. You're a stronger person than I.

Like most hosts on msnbc--a station imbued with hate--Rachael lacks facts and accuracy. She bragged Lincoln was a Democrat. Chris Matthews claimed that inflation was good for poor people--really?

Olbermann's little brother is a well-known liar just like he Olbermann is. He/she doesn't have an honest journalistic bone in that weird body.
It's just a desperate tactic made by an even more desperate group of lying libruls.
