The poll indicates that only three in 10 of all Americans think the president's health care proposals will help their families. Another 44 percent feel they won't benefit but that other families will be helped by the president's plans, and one in five say no one will be helped.Read the whole thing, here.
"Less than a quarter of Americans with private health insurance think that Obama's proposals would help them personally. Most people on Medicare and Medicaid also don't think that the Obama plan will help them," says Holland.
The survey suggests that around seven out of 10 Americans think that major structural changes are necessary to reduce health care costs or provide insurance coverage to all Americans. At the same time, more than eight out of 10 people are satisfied with their own health care and nearly three out of four are happy with their own insurance.
Creep-factor: 40 percent said government bureaucrats should decide "which people get certain treatments and which treatments are too expensive or ineffective ..."

Yes, devastating. 44 million Americans uninsured, many more under-insured.
Medical care costs twice as much in this country as in any other developed country, and has been ahead of inflation rates for over a generation.
Most people satisfied with their coverage, yet more think what Obama is asking for is better for the country than the status quo, according to the poll.

There aren't 44 million "Americans" uninsured.
Illegals make up about half of that.
The actual number of uninsured is about 12 million or 5% of the country. This number comes after you take out the illeagals, wealthy who pay cash, and young people who CHOOSE not to have insurance.
They are talking about government takeover to cover 5% of the population!

There are several reason why this bill is bad. it has wording for
1. Insurance for ILLEGALS
2. Insurance for people who make it their lifes aim to use the system for free
3. Classes for the aged on how to terminate their life (Let God do this)
4 No limitation or guidelines on Abortion. I am pro abortion, but not because of laziness or carelessness.
5 Tax the working people to pay for the lazies
6. Increase cost of insurance while lowering benefits
I am 82 and still employeed just to pay for my medicine and supplement ins. Other can do the same
Who the hell made the decision that I wanted my tax dollars to fund abortions. Obama is taking this country down a path of destruction. I think 40% of our population is either brain washed or stupid. For god sakes people wake up, we are losing everything this country stands for. we have Czars running our industries, A health care plan being proposed that provides for abotions and covers 12 million illegal aliens and a president that openly says he wants to end the private health care industry. If you critcize him you are labeled a racist, if you object to your congressman you are a right wing radical and if you go along with these plans you are screwed, God help us something has got to change soon or the country I love will be gone. You have to love it. More of my tax dollars wasted. Social Security is aboutt to fail, we are 12 trillion dollars in debt and its growing. Insead of using our taxdollars to those important issues we will use it toward abortions, people who fake sickness to get out of work, and illegals. I agree health care needs to be fix. You can start by telling hospitals not to charge $800 for a $5 ambulance ride. The only difference is now our taxdollars will pay for it instead of our insurance. Screw our country because people can get a job. Walmart even offers a good health insurance for their workers.
