Glenn Beck: "Witch Hunt Against Jews and Conservatives" (VIDEO)

This video's posted at Media Matters. Glenn Beck argues there's now a "witch hunt" against Jews and conservatives" in the current environment.

But check this from the comments at Media Matters:
-- The conservatives and the right-wing extremists are marching in lock-step.

-- ... the reaction from the Noise Machine proves that they are right-wing extremists and provocateurs of domestic terrorism. And should be investigated and prosecuted as such ...

Also, from the Huffington Post, "DHS Report Warned Against Anti-Semitic Violence."

But check the video: Beck says at the beginning of the segment: "This guy is a lone-gunman nutjob."

And don't forget, James Von Brunn "wasn't even right wing."

I saw Glenn Beck's entire rant today (My criticism of Beck is that he rants), yet, I believe him to be 100% correct. I have stated before on this evolved blog, I think Beck is naive and needs to grow up a little before being given such a huge stage, he is a little too self-absorbed. So, I listen to him closely today. In this statement he is dead on and deserves some respect. From the left press!

Glenn may be a little "out there" at times (which actually indicates to me that he is at least thinking), but he nailed it here.

Oh, straight-up, these people are all idiots! Seriously, conservatives should just ignore the Left's lunacy.

It's petty high school bs, and it's all they've got. So blow it off and it becomes irrelevant. Government/legal stuff like the DHS report, is another matter entirely though.

And Beck ... I like him. I like that he covers and talks about things others are afraid to touch. Let's face it, Very Bad Things are happening in America today. We can stick our heads in the sand and be left completely vulnerable, or we can re-learn how to be skeptical of everything government.

From our Founders, such as Jefferson, Madison, and Washington, to our great conservative heritage ... in Taft, Kirk, Goldwater, Reagan ... always remember, "in questions of power...let no more be heard of confidence in man."

Well said, the CL!

Ya know what's sad? Even FOX News was going nuts about this guy. Shep Smith was endorsing the DHS report even before the guy's politics was known.

The shooter at the Holocaust Museum was a 9/11 "truther" and hated not only Jews, but Christians , Conservatives, et al. In other words he was and is a Leftist.
No wonder the Left was busy yesterday casting stones at everyone. It is what happens when you treat people as groups instead of individuals. Much easier to be bigoted when you see people as groups as the Left does. It is fun to use the left's approach against them. A sort of 'hoisting them on their own petards."
Ignoring the Left's lunacy is how we got Obama. Ignoring allows a lot of lies and dissembling to stay out where people who do not spend much time researching issues can just accept and act on it. You have to be engaged.

That comment echoes David Horowitz calling for prosecuting anti-war protestors as "America-haters and saboteurs."

What's happened is that the traditions of liberalism and conservatism have been coopted by the District of Corruption into supporting authoritarianism. Both do so in the belief they're advancing their core beliefs, but are only justifying ever-greater government control over our lives. DC continues to expand its power, and we continue to lose our freedom.

Sadly, both "mainstream" liberals and conservatives demand the central government deprive the other side of its freedom. So both sides lose.

Even a drunk sailor on rolling seas can hit the ship's urinal once in a while.

I reject Glenn Beck because he says he hates victims families of 9/11 for asking questions and speaking out. He railed against the 9/11 truthers and made them HIS witchhunt.

It's like people these days choose to follow and ego-bond with carnies and fakes. What's wrong with the American people??

Bush pretends to be a conservative - and conservatives rally behind him on the power of false-passion for conservativism. Duh. He was more left than Clinton... corrupt... not a Christian... and lied to us repeatedly. But, all it takes is to whip people up a little (like Glenn Beck does) - and rational consideration of facts gives way to big time wrestling fanatacism and people are "for him!". Appalling.

Please turn off the tv, stop spending so much time watching sports, and read. Please, America. I'm getting seasick from your constant emotional rollercoasters based on... people's acts.

Old Rebel,

It is true of all who seek power for power's sake that one has to play each side against the other. For while they are busy destroying each other they have no inkling of how much freedom they are losing to the real enemy who grows ever more powerful on their dissent.
Unfortunately, it is even further exacerbated by the fact that the far right and far left tend to dominate the center of the board while the vast majority sit by the wayside allowing, even joining in, these extremes to dominate always at the expense of the Conservative and Liberal adherents. It should not surprise anyone that the true power seeker will never allow the opposing parties to se the common ground they both share. So they both get played for the fool never understanding why even when they win they seem to lose.
The hard part is to get a reasoned discourse to occur, but that remains difficult when each side's "red flags" are so easily tossed out to create those misunderstandings.
Does anyone really believe that two sides who respect each other enough to agree to disagree could not of come up with reasonable solutions to most of the issues that dominate? Who cares about the fringes?
What you are seeing is the old axiom called Divide and Conquer in play and it is working quite well. As long as "good" people are content in their desire to think others are the evil incarnate of earth power will go to the posers. The posers are those who say whatever is needed to get others to believe they actually care about one side or the others issues.
It would take a charismatic leader to make things happen and it is not Obama. He can talk about finding common ground, but it rings hollow when you are calling others names and implying that they are evil. You cannot spend time calling your own country names and think you are going to get the respect of the world. Politicians know other politicians for what they are. No one is fooled.
We have a great country and a great people who have much to be proud, but until we recognize it we will be controlled by the posers. The great that we have accomplished so far exceeds our missteps as to make the misstep statistically insignificant. Only the poser and demigods need us to focus on those missteps.
